  1. what? i look like a " white shoes" kinda guy, right? i hate trying to keep shoes clean, especially white ones. but here lately all i wear, just about, are my boots. go figure that one. today i gotz my sneakers on, but then again, today i played golf. nascar doesn't suck, boring to watch, yes...but comeon...700hp, almost 200mph (right track) and 40 cars all going the same direction? yeah, the wrecks are cool! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  2. My 12 year old cousin wears 12's and he's shorter than me Kids and their crazy growth hormones these days. damn..lol..and i thought my boy had ski's....that's gonna suck later when the kid is 16...if his feet keep growin.. and yeah tom. we talking about shoes.... speaking of which, damon settled on running shoes (nike), i prefer basketball style....i like the support, he likes the lighter weight. what style do u guys look for and why? damon also likes the freaky colors running shoes come in, there's lots of orange in his shoes..lol..me, i like em black (though i'll settle for black/white) wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  3. dunno how far u are from anna,il..but i'll extend an offer... not like i have alot going on currently, so come on up..lol.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  4. yeah, it's still alive, lol...and no, i wouldn't recommend it. mater of fact, i'm pulling the orion2500d (wired at 4 ohm) off the rl-p and putting the hifonics back on it. my wife is getting to be a basshead and in the 2.5ft^3 box it's in, i don't want her thrashing the rl-p..lol.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  5. speaking of shoes, took the 12 year old out for new ones yesterday...freaking wears a 9.5. i wear 11's. it's going to suck buying him shoes later..i was in high school when i wore 9.5's.....he's in 6th grade. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  6. no rl-p 10, no rl-m anything... there was once a rl-i12, and might be again.... don't know why there would be any drivers listed in winisd....hmmm..weird.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  7. i likes to woodwork..actually need to get back into it. I WANT MY SCOOTER BACK!!! it's been at the dealership a week and they haven't even finished the estimate yet!!! it'll be 60* tomorrow..bastage. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  8. sexy lil beast...... almost as sexy as jimj hisself..lol. where's the glowin pics beyotch?? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  9. i like potente....or "dai dii", or "fatto da un canadese", or "soluzioni sane della squadra audio" and lastly "dal cielo" dai dii means from the gods dai cielo means from the heavens fatto da un canadese means made by a canadian and the last one up there is teamssaudio.....all the above is italian i've having some fun..... mondo should be the uber. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  10. very nice install!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  11. how much port area u lookin for? typically a round port is shorter because u can get away with less port area..in the case of the rl-p12, a 4" round will be plenty. as far as port direction, in theory same plane is ideal, however, in real world application, that isn't necessarly the case. especially if chasing tenths. IME with my truck (04 silverado xcab) with downfiring ten's, the best port placement was to the rear. i've also used a driver's side facing port in a different box with downfiring subs, but the rear facing gave the best results. might not be the case with ur truck, but i'd wager u'd like the results. also, u have to remember, u need as much clearance from ur port to an object (ie: floor, wall, door) as the width or diameter of the port. or u could potentially "bandpass" ur enclosure. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  12. depending upon person, market and what they are selling...it has a great potential. but like u already mentioned, it also has a certain downside. personally, i like a salaried with commision override type of job. that way when u have a down week, at least ur still getting paid something, but the reward of pushing urself is still there as u can earn way over the salary with the override. of course, uncapped bonus's are always nice. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  13. well, maybe not the whole thread...but a nice little review, summary type thing could be... and dave, since ur the guru...u can write it..lol..i'll sticky it.... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  14. i was told in rockford,il that if they aren't in a crosswalk, they are fair game. i mean if u hit them, it's thier fault, regardless of the circumstances (ie: u swerved to hit the fool). but if they are in a marked crossing point, they have right away. man, that could be a serious stress reliever....my truck, a buckstop bumper (pictured here) , and a few hours to kill....lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  15. x2...with the right enclosure, a 10 is an awesome sub. well, it's gotta be a good sub as well, legacy isn't going to cut... funkypup>j0o!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  16. Because they need something to measure their e-penii by. Duh. then i have a fairly large e-penii...i mean with 4kw on tap in my truck and 2.5kw on tap in the TB...that should mean at least an above average e-penii, correct? but then again, i run 2.5 (actually wired to the 1.2kw)kw in the TB simply because i was playing with the rl-s at the time i installed the stuff. in time the orion will be replaced with the hifonics nemesis nx750d that was originally bought for the rl-p. so the rl-p will then be getting 750 daily. is that better? lol...... so maybe it's just a matter of what's lying around, or previous install or just the inane want to get silly loud while sounding really, really good. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  17. a really strong clipped signal can help in the death of a speaker. not sure it will cause the death all by itself, but it will add to the heat buildup within the coil that can indeed lead to failure. but that is an arguement reserved for it's own thread, not for hijacking nate's.... i agree with denim, i leave the loud off and gain up a bit. especially if i'm running my highs of the h/u power. no since in listening to distortion if i don't have too.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  18. 1) u set each gain to the speakers ur using....basicly set up each gain as though it was a seperate amp, unless ur speakers are all the same then i'd set them to the same voltage. not sure that it's that important to gain match a 4 channel, i think it'll depend on the specific speakers ur using and the power they are rated for. 2)yep. add the subs together. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  19. lpf, subsonic filter are the main two to look for. a phase control can be useful. but other then that, all that's needed is gain. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  20. yeah, aaron wanted to clean up the forum a bit and consolidate what he thought would make navigation easier. and noone has answered my question, what is this turd and how'd it get close to the IHoP? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  21. My undying admiration? i thought i already had that?? but no, that's not quite enough... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  22. day actually turned out pretty good dennis..thanks. i found out i could have my old job back up north...i have an interview tomorrow..and the stereo place i part time at wants me full time. so i should have the job situation sewn up soon. the personal life is still a mess though. it just flat out drives me crazy. period. like i've been saying, i sure wish my life was boring right now..lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  23. I wanna see the CHAPS sans jeans! hmmm, that might cost ya ryan..... boxers or no boxers? what do i get if i post that publicly?? comeon now, make it worth my while... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  24. i'm running 1.2kw to my 12" rl-p right now...no issues what so ever. off an orion 2500d... 1.2kw on the 15 sealed would equal sweetness!! on one ported would equal deafness..lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
