Puss. lmao.. of all the ppl to call me on that, i didn't expect u or steve... but then again.....on this...ur right...lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee It's okay, my girlfriend is starting to get that "security" with me where she thinks she can run things. I have to "put her in her place" all the time. Different when you're married, but dammit, YOU DA MAN! i got the harley didn't i?? lol.. but for real, it's just too nice of a vehicle to warrant my typical treatment of it. i enjoy just kicking back and driving the thing, it's weird. it's by far, the nicest thing we've ever owned. and i guess i just don't wanna tear it up..... my truck and scooter on the other hand..lol....they're mine!! as soon as i get a cam..u get vids!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Enclosure Help!
bandpass, if done correctly, is an awesome enclosure. the trouble is they are fairly hard(more involved then a regular ported box) to build(design) properly. and a properly built simple ported box can sound just as good while maintaining a high output level. prefab bandpass enclosures are for boom only, and they give a proper bandpass enclosure a bad name. if ur dead set on trying something different, i'd suggest the ABC box. two outa the three ports can be designed to be outside of the box so that they can be placed where they will fire directly into the cabin. have a compentent designer help u out with one. my personal suggestion would be a simple low tuned (~34hz) ported box, with the port firing into the cabin. simple to build, with very predictable results. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

That is exactly what I was looking for. I am just trying to find the right balance between enough air space for low bass extension but still limit the excursion enough to keep the thing together. I am at 1.13 ft^3 net right now. drop it down a bit more. i honestly don't believe u'll lose enough lowend to matter, especially with the power on tap to allow for max excursion. i also like tom's (acidburn) idea of dialing down the amp a bit. like i've said, the most i'd recommend ever for throwing at an rl-p is about 1200 and that's with smart set gains and good ears. jsut slug ur current box to drop displacement down a bit. and see what happens. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

a birth sheet of 1400+...nice... but that's too much power on a rl-p. i wouldn't go over 1200, and then i'd set my gains carefully. i've pushed mine with as much as 2500, but it doesn't like it. personally, with about 750-900 wrms and the 1.25ft^3 box, the rl-p is one really hard to beat sub. but with 1400+ on tap, i'd think a dial down of box size would help...like in the 1-1.10ft^3 range. limit some of the excursion a bit. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

pretty bummed...
it's not the sub...it's the electrical. replacing the sub won't change anything. like undercover stated, start with an altenator and the big 3 (atleast the big 3 first, but u'll probably still need an alt.) the problem lies in the amps...u might want to try a 4 channel u can run in trimode or maybe something like a memphis belle. ease the current draw the amps are demanding. also a nice deep cycle battery (yellow top/red top at the least) will go along way in helping. nice to see u like the rl-p! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

ryan..i knew u'd say that...lol... here are the wheels we are looking at for the TB... but we aren't decided yet.... cb, hopefully this has zero problems. it's got the absolute sweetest ride of any 4wd i've ever seen. also, u can expect about 17-19mpg out of ur silverado, depending upon foot. i average 16.5 outa mine ( z71 xcab w/ 5.3) adn i've got a heavy foot. i expect about 20 out the TB. the harley gets 40 at almost full throttle!!! hehe wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
