		Welcome to the IHoP

if it's half as good as the wax, it's worth it's price. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee ya i payed like 7.50 or so for it i think and their car wash stuff is nice to pretty much all their products are great Meguiars or 3M ftmfw. i likes my ice. i have some 3m buffing compound, which is the shit. but the ice, imo, is one of the easiest products to use. produces a deep wet shine, don't have to worry about hazing or white residue and it lasts. not knocking either of your choices, but the ice definitely deserves a look. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Most impressed you've ever been with a stereo?

i think the most impressive was the sunshine audio demo van i sat in about 20 years ago. it was a caravan with eight kicker 15s, ten yamaha amps and a blauphunk (sp?) headunit. moved the hair on my legs sitting in that thing, lol. i was stoked, and had mommy buy me the exact same equipment, albeit on a much smaller scale, to go in my truck. i've helped build a few, but i think that van sticks out the most as i think it's what got me hooked. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

		my firt SPL reading ever

try this suggestion. general rule of thumb is 1lb per 1ft^3, but there is no set guidelines. just make sure that the polyfill stays loose and isn't compacted. and not a bad score for a sealed setup. x2!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

		Company car

oh, and current mileage for teh fed goverment is 50.5 cents. it was 48.5 last year. when my wife had a company car, she had to pay taxes on it every year. averaged out to about $700. however, her employer would cover a majority of it, amounting to $250 or so being applied to our actual tax return. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i just bought a new truck. i think i'm excited, lol... traded the trailblazer in, so i have yet another sub/amp combo that i can't use. but at least i have a truck again. pics later, was already dark and the flash on the camera is broke. oh, it's a 08 silverado x-cab z-71 4x4.(gotta include that because now they make a z-71 2wd ) like i would own anything else, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

		Good sub recommendations for SAZ-1500D

A pair of Icon 12's in a ported enclosure tuned around 32Hz would give you way more output and still have the control you are looking for. As long as you can fit the space. A pair of 10" Icons ported would probably get you close as well. Thank you for the help and recommendations. Someone told me that I dont have the amp to push two of them. I think I do. I think pushing around 700-750 rms a peice would be plenty. But do you think it would be too hard on my amp? a pair of ICON 10s ported (personally, i'd shot for 34-36hz, but i'm a bit of a basshead) off that 1500d will flat out kill waht you have now. it'll sound good, get loud and not strain neither sub, nor amp. (box dependant of course) wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

		Good sub recommendations for SAZ-1500D

No. Loud is not the most important. I want good SQ but It has to be louder than what I had. My M-class are quieter than before and I want more. I dont have alot of space. I have about 16" deep by probably 42" ish wide by about 30 something tall. Thats my whole backseat, well, what was a back seat. My two 10's take up a little over half the width of my seat. I could fit sealed better though. I thought about maybe building a sealed box for my mclass and see the difference in sound. Amusing since personally I think the M-class drivers sound a bit like fart cannons and you are asking for something louder... m-class as fart cannons??? with a 200wrms rating?? fart cannon? lol, the m-class is their sq woofer. memphis lineup from entry to highend.. pr m-class s-class m1 m3 mojo teh s-class is their shallow mount, m1 is a cross breed between the pr,m-class and m3. but the one thing the m-class doesn't sound like is a fart cannon, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

		The future of SPL

jsut like your SQ comment there, it just depends upon what class. again, bass race 130-139.9 isn't all that hard. burping low-mid 50's isn't hard and will place you fairly high. grab a 60 and you're a god (in street) adn that's when it gets hard. but because SQ is subjective, that bug might not have won somewhere else, whereas a 155 on a TL is a 155. (within a few tenths usually, lol) wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

		The future of SPL

The P9 has a great EQ...Dave has not touched it in this install Time alignment, yes, but since you can always refer to the manual to learn how to do it I'd hardly think that's something "difficult". Very true, the enjoyment of SQ happens in the vehicle, not outside. I happen to think that's a good thing i won't argue that using the TA feature isn't difficult. on some decks, like my old alpine, it was rather easy to get to, and to adjust. i didn't because i didn't want to screw up what sound i had, lol. and i don't necessarly think sq costs more then spl. but true clarity is harder to achieve in car then loud. a vehicle sucks for proper staging. it's too short, too narrow and and the transfer function sucks. but for loud? it's perfect. find the transient frequency and boom away. i'm not taking anything away from teh 160+ plus crownd either. that's when it starts getting harder and even harder. but for loud, low to mid 50's, can be achieved far easier then building a similiarly competitve sq vehicle. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

		Any beer snobs here?

i like a good oatmeal stout, even a blonde ale ever now and then, but the ales tend to be a bit sweet to me. it's getting mainstreme, but sam adams boston lager is a good beer. and i won't hardly drink bud, bud light or anything like that now. oh, i did get a $.25 miller light last tuesday, lol. out of the soda machine at work. they are under the "out of order" button, lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

		The future of SPL

That's a total myth Getting to the pinnacle of either requires a lot of time, a lot of testing, and knowledge of the black arts that go into it. And the Camry shows that you can come across something that does pretty well for SQ, just by playing around with things Likewise, there are people that have gotten some pretty good results in the SPL lanes just by trying something right off the bat. [ see, i don't think it's a total myth. i can throw jsut about any system together now and get into a 150. people are breaking 50's all day. which used to be the pinnicle. now they are pushing 180, and there is more then one person knocking on that door. now, getting into that league is a bit rough and goes right along with what you are saying, HOWEVER, a 150 is easy. adn a 150 is LOUD, no matter who you are. and even LB breaks a 150, so it can't be that hard. see what i'm getting at? but to truly sound good, really good, takes work. time. eq this. attenuate that. raise this. shift that. i've never even messed with any of the time alignment crap on any of my decks, lol. i have a eqs, never used it. wouldn't know how to process sound if it bit me in the ass, lol. to most people, it's far easier to get loud, which gets you noticed, then it is to sound good. and i think the getting noticed part is what most boomers are after anyway. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
