lol...that 20mm is inert.....and it's blue because it's a target practise round.. also, i got lucky getting that one...believe it or not, some morons take live rounds home.. example.. just before i got hired an idiot took an electronic primered (yeah, basic static electricity could set it off) 25mm HEIt (high explosive incendary-traced) home and gave it to his 7 year old to play with...even the trace is an explosive charge. and he gave it to his son to play with... luckily, someone snitched on him, the fbi and atf (yep, it's a federal charge) went to his house, found his kid playing with the round and put the moron in jail. but he's the reason why we can't hardly get an inert (dummy) round....unless u know someone... sorry for jacking the thread...and steve..lol...that tp round is fired by the 20mm cannon found in the f-15, f-16, f-18 and f-22 fighter jets...ur potato gun would need extensive mods..lol!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

the texture i used is the splatter paint by dupli-color available at auto zone...then i used a rustoleum black laquer over the top of that.. as to the spikes...u guys are referring to actually attaching the box to the floor? hmmmm.... oh yeah, here's the box on it's "feet"..lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

second go around with primer/sealer that did work!! TADA!!! finished!!! it's painted in black laquor and textured. (except the bottom, which is just painted) it will have 4 legs (also painted black) about 3" tall and they can be spotted in some of the above photo's... my camera doesn't do it justice... i'll ship it monday, hopefully jack will have it by thrusday....then he can give a full report!! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

i understand..i know it isn't easy..but trust me...in the end, it's worth it. i never went to college..hell, i dropped outa high school, and that's the only regret i have. but i have to make my living knowing how to use my hands because of it. u guys can make ur living by pointing fingers at ppl like me and learn how to use ur hands on projects because u want to..not because u have to... hey, i apologize for the preaching...but it's the dad/coach/been there and didn't do what i should've part of me speaking..lol...u'll have to forgive me... and oh yeah... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee for being a cool old guy thanks, i think..lmao and supa i understand about school...we all complain while we are there and miss it when we aren't... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
