  2. ur talking about the coilpack correct? looks like a block with 8 prongs sticking out of it?? that's not a distributor..lol...kinda close, but not quite.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  3. they suck anyways....lmao!! i prefer the doors or the grateful dead....or pink floyd... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  4. ryan got 2000....but i got 2005...kewl huh??? post 2500 is the next official race...then to 5000 ready, set... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  5. nick, the thing is..it runs fine after it's started...no hesitation or anything that would lead me to suspect timing..i dunno, i almost believe the computer is somehow off on startup pressure and isn't sending enuff fuel at startup..pulse voltage could have something to do with that, correct? ryan..it's not distributorless like the lt1 and up..electronic yes, but with a distributor. maybe a coil problem..hmmm supa, i believe the crossfire was similiar to chrysler and gm's earlier attempt at crossing the intake runners (can't remember name) with dual carbs. the right side carb fed the left bank and vice versa, i believe it was an attempt to lengthen the intake runners making for a higher charge velocity. i also believe it worked better with the carbs then it ever did with the vette...it only lasted from either late 81 or early 82 to 86..after that tpi was born. hey guys, u realize we are breakin the rules by actually haveing a constructive conversation?..lol...just making sure.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  6. nice ryan...lol... also, i know to stay away from cross junk injection..lol... nick, what do u think is the vette's problem?? it tries to start like a carburated pos..u actually have to step on the gas a lil and it'll try to fire. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  7. i'll check on the monte today... the bimmer guy is asking $4500 on a car that according to kbb is ony worth about $1600 the vette guy is asking $6800 on a car worth at the most $3800, and i wouldn't pay that..it needs paint and interior work. also, it has a hard time starting..either an injector or timing is screwed, but just at startup...btw, being a 1987, it's the first year of tpi... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  8. nope, still haven't gotten to play with a magnum...lol.. i would love to be able to play it side by side the xxx and the rl-p..i'd also love to throw a brahma in there as well.. but don't worry about going thru all the trouble of yanking urs back out lol...unless u really want to...hehe wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
  9. the visionik u linked is 3000wrms x1 @ 1 ohm..the 2500 u listed is stereo i'd rather see u get the visionik v4000xd..i've actually seen them used in competition.. plus the power acoustiks are becoming a proven performer...ask steve, i believe he likes his! remember the old adage..."sometimes u get what u pay for" wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
