a box question
i agree...it appears to be the same size as each side individually, so one would think it should be twice each side's width. unless, like you stated above, it's designed as a "choke" point. reminds me of that decaware box...... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Fi BL, SSA Icon, or DD 9500??
not for sure about loudest, but going by those recommended specs, the dd will definitely be the peakiest. and to be honest, i'd wager the 15" icon with that tuning will be pretty freaking loud! what kind of car? depending upon trunk size, you might be better off with the 10's and if wanting more loud then sq, tune them up to about 34hz. with 1500wrms, that would be a sweet (and loud) combo! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

subwoofer wiring
no bigger then 12g is needed for any sub install unless your pushing MASSIVE amounts of power. i know competitors that even went to 4g and gained nothing over 12g. to the second question, use a second battery in the back and look into a high output alternator. caps are a serious waste of money as acid as pointed out. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Welcome to the IHoP
that thing is fuuugly!! and regardles of reviews, i don't think i'd be a fan of it works. it sounds like a fuckup waiting to happen. i do like the trigun style barrel. i don't know why there aren't more revolvers with the barrel on the bottom cylinder load. and 1911's do fit the hand nicely. mr browning knew what the hell he was doing! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Welcome to the IHoP
As in colt python ? I gots an older one that I bought at a gun show missing grips several years ago. The thing has been sitting in a case in one of my gun safes since. One of these days I'll get around to throwing some grips on it lol yessir!! (with grips, lol) if you want factory walnut grips, i've got a numbrich arms catalog that sells them for $40 or so. i'm thinking about a new set as well as a set of pachmeyr(spl?) that came on them. and if john read the serial number correctly, it's a 1962 version, in 95-98%. if there is a "K", as i think i remember, it's a 1981. either way, it's well worth the $900 i'm paying for it. IMO, anyway. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Avalanche 15 Coil Smell at 70 watts?
hurry up. and i agree with bk and jear.....me thinks it was glue. i've gotten subs to stink with very little power and a whole lot of cranked playing time. meaning full tilt for an extended period of pure clipped signal. (s18x off an orion 2500d @ .5ohm) wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

2 15 FI Bls fully loaded, spl in cab of avalanche...
give it time, it'll rattle. if you wang on it hard any at all, things will loosen up. i'm glad it's working for you right now though. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

2002 BMW 325i
x2!! or like ///m5 touched on, just removed the panel. sometimes if you give the customer a little more then what they want (in this case, a cleaner opening), you'd get even better response. i've been in that situation where the customer has wanted something completely stupid,in a really good car (if it's a pos, who cares?) and refused to do it. sat down with the customer and explained the right way to do it, and usually got my way. the previous owner of the shop i worked at was so picky, he'd flat out call a person stupid to their face and show them the door. it was definitely chuck's way or not done. of course, chuck's way was usually the correct way. also, the amp install is clean. i have one of those waiting to go into the hooptie. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Welcome to the IHoP
Bah, .22 with low velocity bullets. Not a problem. Airsoft won't even matter to them, if its a opossum just kill it by kicking it then stepping on its head, you'll hear it crush if you weigh above about 150ish. agreed, .22 in a small revolver w/ subsonics. no reliability issues, low noise, no recoil, extremely accurate, and with a head shot, very little blood to clean up. it should stay in the cranium and just tear things up. hell, even a body shot should stay inside the animal. and it's just way more fun then softair. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

while i'm glad illinois doesn't have inspections, it's nice to have a neighboring state that does. i mean, if you're in the market for a used vehicle, it makes more sense to buy from the state that does inspections, though after reading jim's post, i dunno what good it would do. it just seems to make more sense. and i'm off to work! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee- Welcome to the IHoP
lol, one of the best "sleepers" ever.. damn k cars wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee- Welcome to the IHoP
Whats his asking price? Not a clue, not even sure when the last time they ran was. Side note... Someone put a stock (run-flat tires) C6 Z06 into the 10's. http://www.autoblog.com/2007/12/05/10-seco...flats/#comments while i would love to own a unimog, the vette link is badass. runflats and into the 10's? that's pretty pimp! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee- Welcome to the IHoP
