i've been thinking about a 10/22 in .17hmr. just to have one. doesn't look like a damascus barrel, don't see the "twist" in the steel, though i know in later ones, that might not be as prevalant. IIRC, damascus also went away right after intro of smokeless as it can't handle the pressures of smokeless. "Laminated steel" and "damascus" is the same thing. Use extreme caution. in knife making, i can see where laminated and damascus is the same, but in shotguns... but i believe what similiar in the two, is the "welding".wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee wow...thanks last night dad was talking about his dad and the shotgun (the dbl barrel), his dad always said he didn't like it because it had a "wire" barrel but neither of us knew wtf that meant. 1) on my second computer, the ethernet card says it's working, yet we can't get online. we compeltely restored it about two weeks ago, i've upped my dsl to 3mbps down, 768up and at first the computer worked fine. lol, but can add a bit of port noise. but as mentioned, it honestly shouldn't matter. i do have a question though. you mentioned the port bends along the back wall. did you measure the length of the port down the middle or did you build it with a total of 33" of inside port wall? wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

why is the h/u wired to the isolater? some things to change/try.. 1) up the fuses to at least 150 each. the rf amp itself should easily tap 200 amps of draw. i'd recommend 200s. 2) get the h/u off the isolator and back to direct on the front battery. (if it's truley wired off the isolator) 3) undo your daisychain of the turnon leads. don't run a single lead to the rf and then go from the rf to the jl. run two seperate leads from your switch, or better yet, lose the switch and run the turn on's the way i posted above off your hu, a relay and your YT. DON'T daisy chain it from one amp to the other. make sure you are using a quality relay and it's rated for the draw. a 30 amp relay will probably work. see if that helps. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

mhm but the way my system is set up now did NOT fix the issue. I thought it would, but I did it and it does the same exact thing as when it was hooked to the HU. you can, but it's not necesssary, and impedance matching will be off. i'd suggest looking for a good two ohm stable 400-500 wrms monoblock as ///m5 suggested. check with sundown see what he has to offer. also, look into the ssa store. i believe we have several options to chose from. some ideas... kicker kx 400.1 memphis mc500d jl500.1 (though a bit pricey compared to the other two) and those are jsut off the top of my head. and my brain isn't in 100% motion yet. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
