x2 while i too, love the mag. teh w6v2 are jl's best sub. and a pair of them sealed will offer great sq and output off that sundown. nothing against the mag, it'll hold it's own one on one against jsut about any sub. but a pair fo the w6s, even sealed, i think is a bit much for even a mag. now, if you went a pair vs a pair sealed, like ///M5 mentioned, well, i dunno what i'd pick. probably the mags. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

as you found out, your mids were out of phase. as to the cause, i hate to say it, but it's probably an install issue. i'm sure it could be traced back to the wiring. not to say the amp could be marked wrong, or the speakers, that's a possibility, but i'd wager it's install. without subs, alot of one's hig end is revealed.. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

as mentioned, make sure you get dual 1 ohm Qs. take the positive from one voice coil to the negative of the other voice coil. take the remaing positive and negative and go to your amp. with 2kwrms on tap (or real close to it), a downfiring, sealed affair will rock in your tahoe. while you could gain peak output by going ported, you'd have to tune very low in order to grab the overall flat response of the proper sealed box. and tuningthat low, you won't necessarly have the peak gain of a higher tuned ported affair, save at the real low end. and listening to dopey will induce mild cases of dizziness of you wade through the various responses laced with some knowledge and guessing. we recommend taking in his posts in small amounts to determine one's tolerance at first. after which it's strictly up to the individual to decide whether or not to indulge one's self in dope. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
