Welcome to the IHoP
I was thinking something along the same line. Maybe chip in, buy the MT, then re-sell it for him in a raffle or something and give him the money raised; kind of like a double donation. i'm down with that. i would be down to help, but i'm unemployed as well. hopefully, i'll be employed monday though. that's a good idea though. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

what i do for laughs..
-1 for the vet then i called some breaders, but when i heard the price of a pup i believe the city has just over 8k tied up in the dog and training. what price were you quoted? flakko, he's small enough to me, that if he went off, i could control him until Daric could get him. i wouldn't walk away pretty i'm sure, that dog is quick. if he was any bigger though..lol... wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Measuring for resinate Freq:
That's not the point as ANeonRider stated again they fudgeed up. If you read the paper it says: Feet-per-second divided by cycles-per second = feet per second As far as box tuning goes, yes the tuning of a box is quite independant of the driver - in and of itself. But when you do put the driver in, the impedance/excursion/spl characteristics will not be similar. I have to wonder in the BTL's case whether or not Fs, Le, or something else or some combination is affecting how those things "line up" per se. to be quite honest, i overlooked that simple wording. i was just looking at the math. no, they won't be similiar. and i'm sure fs plays the biggest role. but again, what happens on paper, doesn't translate to what happens in car. if it did, everyone on the planet could break 160db legal. programs just can't account for the car and everything in it. not without doing some serious mapping and definitely not the programs most of us use. as far as the btl doing what it does, in how many different tuned boxes did you plot? i'm sure it doesn't do that in every single box. and truth be told, it's a specific purpose woofer, so if yoru using the recommended design, then according to yoru program, it's doing exactly what it's supposed to be. peaking at the nominal areas. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

feels like a dumb question
hifonics is entry level all the way up to thier goliath, maxximus and amps in that catagory. the brutus series are nice amps, but no where near top of the heap. either would be a good choice, however, i think i would lean towards the us amp myself. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

RL-i8 Sealed In My 97 Reg Cab Dakota
350w on that sub, ported or otherwise, will make it move, lol. jsut under 1ft^3 net is going to allow it to drop really low, but won't offer the flattest response. mike has shown .17ft^3 net as the flattest sealed alignment. and the rl-i8 has plenty of output in that size! in your cab, where it's located, with 350wrms and ~.9ft^3, it's going to rock! like denim said, may no tbe flexing windshields, but it's going to let people know it's there! wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

New Mids for the Impala
i'm a fan of the kicker ss/rmb 6.5 or 8s. shallow mount and good power handling, they should fit you application. of course, they are the only dedicated midbass/ranges i've ever played with. soon, the cdt eft8(iirc) will get a look. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Wood...
yous can also resin inside and out. and maybe add a bit of mat on the corners and potential weak areas to ensure a quality build. a bit more work, but would do the trick. of course by the time you bought that stuff, you could've bought a sheet of mdf, lol. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

yeah, he's quick. the breed is made up of great dane (don't see it), german shepard ( a little obvious, lol) and greyhound (you see it when he's on you in about half a second, lol) will probably be in the suit again for area searches this weekend. tis a good day to be had.....free beer!! lol wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee dude. i wanna do that....he'd probably knock me over the minute, err second he hits me. so does the dog just bite you or are you pushed back from impact? i'm big enough that even with a full on run, he can't knock me back. but then again, i'm ready for him. if he hit me and i wasn't ready, yeah, he'd knock the piss outa me. adrian, not vicious at all. i'm sure he can be, but right after each bite session, i'd pet him. just about the friendliest dog i've seen. sean, i've gotta get paid somehow, lol. i spent 15 minutes in that suit today. when i got out, it seriously looked liek i pissed myself. that's how much i sweated. so i get beer, lol, after a bottle of water. wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
