  1. I just realized I hadn't picked up speaker wire yet. I want 8 awg but cant find actual speaker wire that size. I figure wire is wire for the most part, so would this work? http://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm?fuseac...Product_ID=6483
  2. It's going to be slow going for a while, I have a few other things that have to get here still. But I did get the port painted. Primer. Paint/clear coat.
  3. Ya they're sitting in my room. I liked them, but wanted to go with a more spl oriented sub.
  4. More than ready haha. Can't wait to compair them to the four 13w7's of my last setup.
  5. I'll probably end up carpeting. That's what I've done for every one I've built, so I thought about maybe painting, or vinyl for a change up, but I think I'd like carpet better.
  6. Thanks, it's just a hair over 20 cubes, like 20.5.
  7. The bandwidth on my photobucket was exceeded, so that's why I'm starting another thread. Heres everything I have done so far. 03 Ford Expedition XLT. Two Incriminator Audio Death Penalty's. Four JL Slash 1000/1v2's. Two bulk packs of Second Skin Damplifier Pro. What it's going in. Everything that's going in. Port. Bracing. Four layers of this. And I did the inside of the back hatch with two layers the Damplifier Pro too.

I think I'm going to start a new thread with this build since my photobucket got a little screwed up. The title will be something like "2 DP21"s, Almost Done".

I have two layers on the inside of the back hatch so far. Going to do some of the outer part tomorrow, and maybe a little more on the inner part too. I'll be back at it in the morning.

I just got the headliner back up. I got four layers in the back, and three above the back seats. Since I have some left over, I'm going to do some on the back hatch.

Got done with the first layer about a half hour ago. Just a couple more layers to go.

Ok the box is basically done. All thats left for it is to cut the rods on the outside, paint the port, and carpet it. The deadener is next. The headliner was a pain. Before. Started. This is my first time installing deadener, so we'll see how it goes.

Got the front to back bracing done today, and finished up the fiberglass. I'm going to finish bracing tomorrow. Can't really see to well, but this is what happens when you get wreckless with fiberglass.

Getting closer. Just a fitting, and I wanded to get a look myself haha. Inside. I didn't get to the bracing like I wanted to, but there's tomorrow for that.
  15. What would be the best way to wire into the box. Best as in the most secure, and most current flow. A friend of mine just drilled holes and fed the wire through, then just siliconed around to seal it up. I have also heard of people driving bolts through and wiring to them. If this will work, what type/metal bolt would be best. My last setup used actual terminals that I got from Sound Advice. I siliconed the back of them in, but not sure if they were secure enough. All advice is appreciated.

    Thanks for the compliments everyone.

Got the baffle done today, going to attach it to the rest of the box tomorrow along with a little fiberglassing. Box should be done tomorrow. On to the deadener on the roof.

The box will be done tomorrow, then all I will have to do is the deadener on the roof, and put everything in.

    More to come later tonight.

I didn't get too much done today, too many distractions. Here's what I got done. I may do a little fiberglassing later when I get back home.
  21. I gobbed fiberglass in the corners on my last box, it worked but it was just quite a bit of work, and used a lot of my glass up. I'm still going to coat everything, just use mdf 45s.
  22. Would it be better to but 45's here or would it be bad? The pics will explain it better. Option A. Option B. There are two, one on each side of the port. The box is 48" wide and the port is at the bottom in the middle, and is 30" wide. There is a 45 on the back opposite of these.

More on the way right now.

Right now just a 240 amp alt and a yellow top in the back. I have another 290 amp alt with a duel kit on the way, and I'm thinking about picking up a couple Powermasters.

Haha ya, I've gotten that a couple times today as people looked at it. A hair over 20 cubes, like 20.2, after displacement, with 300 sq in of port tuned to 32Hz.
