  1. It's an Alpine iDa-X100, but I did disconnect the Maxxlink with everything off. And I guess it has to be engine whine since it seems to only be when the engine is running. Would this explain the sudden decrease in output as well? It's just kinda weird that It's happening the second that the Maxxlink is out, but was fine wit it in lol.
  2. I'm not too sure where the ground is since it was installed for me 3 years ago before I did my own stuff, I'll go hunting for it in a second. Both the hu and the rcas have been fine for the past 2-3 years. It's only acting up now that the Maxxlink is out.
  3. Got a lil more info. I found out that the splitters probably aren't the problem since I unhooked them and plugged the rca from the hu into one pair of amps and it still does it. But it only does it with the engine running, not with just the ignition.
  4. I just got my system up and running a lil while ago, now I have a problem. I had a Maxxlink in, but the subs were barely moving, though quite loud. I had the input level set correctly, and wired up just as the manual diagrammed. So I decided to take it out and see how it would be with just 2 sets of strapped amps (4 SAZ-3000d's). I only have one set of rcas going back from the hu, so I got some rca splitters so I could get rcas to the other master amp. Now, I'm getting a ringing out of the subs, sounds almost like a 1000hz tone or something. The pitch also increases as I get on the throttle. I also have quite a bit less output than when the Maxxlink was in. So I've been doing a lil reading, and read somewhere here on the forums that splitters half the signal, and limit the tuning capabilities of the hu. Not something that I'm stating as fact, just something that I read. So I just pulled the hu (Alpine iDa-X100) to see how many sub outs I have, and there is only one set. So my question is, how should I go about my rca wiring in this situation? Btw, sorry for the long ass post lol.
  5. Just a daily ground pounder.
  6. Thanks The very same. Thanks Haha
  7. Thanks, and I'm not...And I'd say so too lol. Ya, even though I haven't fully figured out the damn Maxxlink lol. It's still loud as hell for the subs only getting maybe 1/4" excursion if that. Thanks
  8. Soon...I'm still messing with the Maxxlink and don't feel like driving lol.
  9. Wire for the remote to the Maxxlink. It's playable now. Just some tweaking of/learning the Maxxlink. All I need to do is the side panels and vinyl.
  10. Gotta dust the subs a lil.
  11. Haha thanks...They are 6" and 1/4" diameter, that lags are 2" and 1/4" diameter. Thanks Thanks
  12. That's how far we got before my dad had enough lol. Other two subs will be in tomorrow after I get back from the track.
  13. I think, I took too many sub pics...Well, here we go lol.
  14. My bundle. Long ass bit.
  15. Amps going in. Messing with some of the wiring.
  16. Thanks...And I chose to go with the 1/2" because it was almost perfectly even with the lip of the subs. I can't wait to see it with vinyl.
  17. Amp rack/access to fuses and wiring. I decided to stop for tonight. I didn't have short screws and didn't wanna wake up the world with the grinder lol.
  18. Starting on amp rack. Tore the paper out.
  19. Starting the black paint. I don't like the look of paint, but I figure that it'll look better than what ever color it was before lol. Some black vinyl will be coming sometime in the next month or so hopefully.
  20. Ya it is. It's getting really close.
  21. My new jigsaw, it kicks all sorts of ass. First beauty baffle cut. My drivers seat. Primer The rain kinda stopped me, so I'll pick up from here tomorrow morning.
  22. Thanks...And the weather has been cooperating more than usual lately lol.
