  1. Hey everyone, here's the deal. I got the dual 1 ohm ssd12, hooked it up, wired it like the diagram a few posts above, and i turn it up, and it works, but only up until my radio hits about 25. It cuts out on me... I had my cheap mtx4500 in there and I could crank it to about 40, and it wouldn't cut out, it would just distort. Any ideas? Edit: may have been wired wrong. be back with results
  2. Would you take the SSD12 over a 12w3?
  3. haha thanks man, I never even thought of running a subwoofer mainly used for cars for a computer. How would the sub react to that amp though? and would i want the dual 1-ohm or 2?
  4. Hey everyone, I'm pretty new to this car audio thing, but I've been doing alot of research on what subwoofer I should get. I have a Alpine MRP-650 amp, and I was concidering buying the SSD12 sub. I have a ported box already built, to what I believe is the right size. I was just wondering if the sub will be under-powered. I would be buying the Dual 2-Ohm sub I believe. Thanks for any help
