  1. Fill it with some black ca glue or some body filled and ppastidip it.
  2. Great to have you here Michael! Hope to see you post!
  3. One of the center spiders on the pack came loose on the joint?
  4. Why? You will not hear a difference between the two.
  5. I have the same set and like it, I have yet to break one or really been let down by it. I think I got mine on sale for around the 200$ mark. Unfortunately a guy with very sticky fingers from my last shop made off with about 30 of my sockets and replacing them is a pain. It is almost just as expensive than buying a whole new set.
  6. Great to see!
  7. Realistically it's even less than that before efficiency losses, power compression, and the fact that a large burp will quickly drop the voltage down to battery resting voltage. If you're pulling nearly 500 amps at around 65% efficiency you're looking at less than 200 Watt difference, but the caviot is you'd have to be able to keep the consistent voltage for it to even matter.
  8. Your port should run the entire width of your box, basically a huge slot port.
  9. Is there any specific information on how to measure them to get the specific crossover points?
  10. You can pm me and I'll help you work it out
  11. In my experience charging at 14.9 made no difference than charging at 14.4.

Thanks guys, it means a lot!
  13. Happy birthday man
  14. HBD man
  15. No one really likes dc on here one of the rare forums that aren't dc or tantric nut huggers.
  16. You're very rarely going to find much of dc on here.
  17. Wonder if it will hurt or help you. I've had some friends builds where they lost because some resonance would be good.
  18. Awesome... looks like they run $207 so that'll be next on the list.http://www.sears.com/diehard-platinum-automotive-battery-group-size-35-price/p-02851035000P?prdNo=33 As for the fusing from the alt to the battery, 300amp? typically I suggest not to fuse it, a high output alternator can easily blow fuses.Ok...Group 35 Platinum up front. Ho alt. 1/0 big 3 with no fusing. See where voltage rests. I'll do some more research on where to go from there. Run to rear battery? Distribution blocks? These battery isolators I've read about? Sucks having limited knowledge and no friends who know more than I can figure out on my own and by asking questions from people who know what they're doing. I'm learning all I can through my cell phone which sucks, but it'll be worth it in the end when it's over. Thanks for all the help guys... I'm learning a lot. you can use the rear battery as a distro block run to rear batter straight from front battery no battery isolater needed unless you have a parasitic drain or two different chemistry batteries if the car sits a lot.

  20. Iirc up front it's pretty space limited, so a cheaper group 31 like a used deka intimidator or similar would be a great suppliment for the rear for pretty cheap x but as jaycee said it depends on your listening habits.
  21. What about aero ports?Usually half the diameter at a minimum in my experience.
  22. You really won't run into issues with it being far away from it. Just make sure there is adequate clearance between the back and the port. The port loads better off the rear hatch vs loading against the roof. Acoustically I'm not sure why, but in my experience it's typically the best in most hatchback cars/trucks.
  23. Port back is typically the loudest in suvs, make sure you leave at least 3-4" at the narrowest part between the back and the port .
  24. For my setup which is what EVERYONE is suggesting cost me exactly 265 for horns from Eric Stevens 134 for 2 pairs or 6.5" silver flutes 147 for mini dsp (you could easily find a 9887 for half of that) And whatever 4 channel you want. I had the running on a 50w x4 alpine amp and they SCREAMED while being able to keep a good level or sq even when the system was on low volume. Say you wanted to run the Rockford stuff bought from sonic electronix 120 for 2 tweets 320 for 4 mids So you're already looking at 460 for much less quality setup. 399 for the horns and mids plus for a little more a mini dsp or 9887, so you really aren't saving much really for a system that will never be on the same level as the horns
