  1. and a smaller box, to my knowledge will increase mech handling. Yep... Below what frequency are you reaching mechanical limits in a 7 cf box ? Anything above 40 hz and anything below 30 hz You have a strange definition of mechanical... i should correct myself, anything around or at 40hz
  2. and a smaller box, to my knowledge will increase mech handling. Yep... Below what frequency are you reaching mechanical limits in a 7 cf box ? Anything above 40 hz and anything below 30 hz You have a strange definition of mechanical... Well, As I assume mechanical due to the noise.. as an expierment I added a somewhat larger 45 in the corner and it reduced the noise a ton.
  3. You have to play a steady tone to measure voltage
  4. Nice. Since your doubling power. How long can you play it full tilt without it gettin too hot or blowing? Gets SLIGHTLY stinky at about 6 minutes.
  5. I'm at 150's at 34hz on Bass Ballin' with a single ZCON 18" on 5k, there is a lot of potential from these subs.
  6. Messing with tuning/box volume
  7. I typically do play it at full tilt for 80-90% of the time.. But thats just me.
  8. There's no use IMO because they will break In as you play them. I know DD and AQ are always saying not to apply full power until they are fully broken in.. Which I think is baloney.

  10. It hasn't been above freezing here in days. Its 2 degrees out right now. Holy shit! I can't imagine how cold that would be. It was -2 yesterday with the wind chill lol
  11. The same way you would with anything else. I've never really messed around with winsd
  12. and a smaller box, to my knowledge will increase mech handling.
  13. Would like to be shown rather than told I want to be able to calculate all of this to design my own boxes.
  14. with the right parameters it can calculate excursion vs freq., given box volume and power That;s what I need to know, I reach limitations pretty quickly.
  15. I'm reaching mechanical limitations of the ZCON in such a large box ~7 cubes at ~35 hz Output is fantastic, but could be louder on the same power. I do like 150's at 34 hz, but tuning higher would be good.
  16. when using WINSD how do I calculate at what size of the box the maximum mechanical handling would be? Make sense?
  17. True, but it's worth a try
  18. baby box Looks good though.
  19. It usually takes a couple weeks to condition your body to new exercises. Get through the first two weeks and it will be a whole new game. Yoga as pussy as it seems is extremely tiring. We did it in HS for a few weeks and it was seriously brutal. I would of rather done a lot of other stuff.
  20. Oh, and make sure you know where your gas tank is..
  21. This is a repost from Here, I thought it was quite important for people to realize this when they are posting. Definition of Objective and Subjective Objective is a statement that is completely unbiased. It is not touched by the speaker’s previous experiences or tastes. It is verifiable by looking up facts or performing mathematical calculations. Subjective is a statement that has been colored by the character of the speaker or writer. It often has a basis in reality, but reflects the perspective through with the speaker views reality. It cannot be verified using concrete facts and figures. When to Be Objective and Subjective Objective : it is important to be objective when you are making any kind of a rational decision. It might involve purchasing something or deciding which job offer to take. You should also be objective when you are reading, especially news sources. Being objective when you are meeting and having discussions with new people helps you to keep your concentration focused on your goal, rather than on any emotions your meeting might trigger. Subjective : can be used when nothing tangible is at stake. When you are watching a movie or reading a book for pleasure, being subjective and getting caught up in the world of the characters makes your experience more enjoyable. If you are discussing any type of art, you have to keep in mind that everyone’s opinions on a particular piece are subjective. Easy Ways to Remember Objective and Subjective Objective : sounds like the word object. You should be objective whenever you are discussing an object, something concrete that you can hold or touch. The facts that make up your objective statement should also be concrete, solid objects. Subjective : is just the opposite. You can’t point to subjective subjects. They are all in your head and your past experiences. Subjective opinions are ephemeral and subject to any number of factors that can range from facts to emotions. Examples of Objective and Subjective Objective : scientific facts are objective as are mathematical proofs; essentially anything that can be backed up with solid data. Subjective : opinions, interpretations, and any type of marketing presentation are all subjective. Summary: 1.Objective and subjective statements are used by speakers to get their points across. 2.Objective statements are facts that can be verified by third parties while subjective statements may or may not be entirely true as they are colored by the opinions of the speaker. 3.Objective statements are most commonly found in the hard sciences, whereas subjective statements are generally used to describe the arts.
  22. Agreed.
  23. Yes ill prolly do that. But i just want it built the strongest and secure way i can. Im hoping if i made the wall as big and tight as possible it wont move that much if anything happens.
