  1. What do you mean? The wait time depends on what's in stock. SSA usually stocks some subwoofers but a large majority are made to order, and depending on their workload it can range from 10-20 business days. But average is normally 10-15. But recently with the success of the tax sale they are still pretty swamped with orders. Now with non ssa items it's the same however some companies decide to drop ship their stuff if it is not in stock. So if SSA doesn't have it, it is directly drop shipped from the company (ex. Sundown) and it will ship directly From them. Now if it is back ordered from the main build house it is completely based on the time it takes to get them back in stock. So a lot of variables go into wait times with most products. One more thing depending on where you're located you also have to factor in shipping times. Also holidays, weather conditions, and the random things that pop up can change the times too.
  2. I would Say just get a mid level component set instead of wasting your time.
  3. I replied to your PM.
  4. yeah thats mainly why i posted it here. I'll have to get with you and shoot some stuff back and forth for maybe a setup for my mustang.
  5. I just picked one up for fun theyre refurbished.. but at this price it is KILLER http://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-Nexus-7-NVIDIA-Tegra-3-1GB-Memory-32GB-7-0-Touchscreen-Tablet-PC-Android-4/380901428889?_trksid=p2047675.c100012.m1985&_trkparms=aid%3D444000%26algo%3DSOI.DEFAULT%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20131230161411%26meid%3D7066041308685050849%26pid%3D100012%26prg%3D20131230161411%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D301083839376

  8. Yeah you said it yourself, a Fart box.
  9. Thanks guys
  10. I just upload everything to www.imgur.com
  11. Yeah I thought so, I know a lot of these cars share a lot.
  12. Great looking car, doesn't this have the same engine as my wifes' 97 Cougar XR7?
  13. Little background on my current setup, Two ZCON 12's wired to 1 ohm, 1 Mechman 320 amp alt with run of 4/0 positive and negative the rear, one Odyssey PC1800ft (a second sitting in my shed), and one Diehard Platinum 65. The back story/Good I ordered my HD8k from DJSTAGE Gear I paid about 8xx for it and it shipped from Florida and took a dismal week plus out here to California. When I got my package, it was well packaged; although minimally. My first thoughts, extremely light and overall better build quality than the TS4 channel. The pots seemingly had much less play than the 4 channel which was great news. Also the Power, Clipping, and Protection is a nice touch, while I am reluctant to touch the clipping indicator; the protection light is nice. Whenever it is near low voltage (~12v) it will begin flashing and then turn solid right before it is going to protect, Nice touch. Also the amp stays very cool even at ambient temperatures around 80-90s in a black car. I ended up getting the triple 1/0 inputs from ToolMaker for about 30 bucks shipped, shipping was quick straight from North Carolina. The sound. The sound is no different than any other class D Korean amplifier. Unlike other Brazilian amplifiers it does have better cone control at low volume while sitting idle, and does not have the same dampening factor issues such as the Soundigital SD16k. Now the bad, I will start from my biggest complaints to the smallest. The output terminals for the speaker terminals are NOT covered on top, I went to move the amp slightly when I was making sure it was working and adjusting the gains, I ended up accidentally touching the terminals.. OUCH, luckily it was on low volume so I didn't hurt myself too bad. Next are the INCREDIBLY loud fans, in an SUV or somewhere behind a wall might not matter, but in the mustang where it is about 4 feet away from you it sounds like a jet engine. The fans do not change speed based on temperature, they are either full on or off. The SSF goes from 5hz to 50hz, for me as I rarely run a SSF due to my experience using Korean amplifiers which run from 20-50hz. I got an unwelcome surprised when a song had a full reverse sweep that dropped pretty low and bottomed out on full power. Granted it was mostly my fault for not noticing that it started at 5hz, but it seems a bit unrealistic that someone would honestly need to go that low. All in all, for the price to power ratio it is a definite good deal which is a plus. The amp quality is on par for the price, however despite my annoyances I would probably recommenced this amplifier to a friend and that's fairly high praise coming from me. On to the pics
  14. Equipment looks good
  15. Just another Korean made amp.
  16. Honestly if you plan on running a full 3.5k I would say that the ZCON would be better territory for you. Not saying the Xcon couldn't take the power, but you'll run into issues if you don't know what you're doing.
  17. At a bare minimum you will need a 70-2001. I'm not seeing the on star model listed under the parts list for installation. So they may be taking out of their ass, as you said if you don't use it then you don't need it. Although if it is true you need the harness you may lose door ding/etc depending on the model of your car and if it's routed through the front left speaker like newer gm cars. But other than that, from what metra says you only need the 70-2001, and the aswc-1 if you want to retain steering wheel controls.
  18. 85 out here in Monterey
  19. Yeah that's what I was thinking.
  20. Doesn't really matter what it reads dcr since impedance is based on frequency over a given usable range.
  21. Maybe 20 years ago it wass true, but it's no longer true.
  22. Would it be the "alt fuse" your talking about?. If so. that fuse is good Maybe bad battery? But I'd be the first person to point at the alt, a few years when I inquired about an alternator from them they gave me some off the wall answers. Wouldn't the car charge nornal once running even with bad batt? It could have a bad cell or something, so your its a parasitic drain so your alt is trying to charge it dropping low voltage. Maybe. All speculation really, try removing stuff one at a time then start adding to see if you can limit it to one thing.

I have the same mono block as you, just in the 4 channel model.. I absolutely love it, I've had it for the last 6 years and it has seen many builds.
