yeah I know I always do it that way. But I can't even get to the back of the alt I'm trying to say. Can't get to the positive stud on the alt at all. Gotta pull the engine out to do so. The alt is located in the mid section of the engine. Not like other cars that I previously owned that were easy to do the big 3. You can't do it from any angle. Intercooler is in the way then behind it is the rad. On top there are way to many things. Too narrow to get at it from the bottom. I'm going to be running about 4k rms. So I think I should upgrade that wire. I got XS Power batts waiting to go in.

2009 Dodge Caliber Srt-4. So the turbo makes it pretty packed in the engine bay. The wire goes into this thing on one side then a wire is attached on the other side and goes to the battery. It comes stock with a 140A alt. And I talked to every alternator company out there to see if they have one or could make one. No one as of yet could make one. Because there is a solid wire or something in these alts. And they told me these stock alts that come with the car are very solid and put out more then rated.

I think my current wire from the alt is 8 gauge. It goes into a solenoid or something before the wire goes to the battery. I can't upgrade the wiring to 1/0 straight from the alternator to battery. Since my alternator is placed in the middle side of the engine. I tried getting to it but is impossible. Gotta pull the engine up or take most of the parts off it. So frustrating. Would it matter much about the alternator to batt wire size? Since the output on the alt isn't switched I'm just running stock alt.

And the audio only when playing a cd sounds like it goes in and out. Like goes a little lower and goes back up in volume. You could hear the bass go low and then go a bit louder. My ipod just stays a certain volume. Works fine with ipod.

It's not the cd ejecting. It's the faceplate not moving all the way down. Like it stops half way and seems jammed.

Like it seems the faceplate is jamming. Like it doesn't come down how it used to. You can't really even see the cd slot. Just tilts down.

I let it sit for a bit and I guess from what I read online that if it gets a little dust on or in it. The cd player doesn't eject cds. There is a disk in there that plays fine. It can't eject it though. How would I fix this?

I heard many people that buy from DC Power have to wait long to receive their alt. I guess it has to do with making them custom. Some may just be easier to make and bolt up.

yeah they just used my bank account instead of my credit card. So that's why I was like wtf is this paypal msp in my bank account. I never use my bank acct to buy stuff through paypal. Only credit cards. It was just money I sent to a guy on the caraudio forum for a fuse holder. I just didn't know that it charged my bank acct instead of my credit card.

Ohio generator are the best alts out there and very good people. Phone them and you get a tech right off the bat because they do the sales as well. Every alt they sell comes with a computer printout for your alt saying how it performs.

It seem to be impossible to get at the alternator in the Caliber Srt4. I need to upgrade the wiring from the alt to battery with 1/0 wire. I looked where the alt was and I couldn't get at it from any direction. Why the hell would they put the alt pretty much in the middle of the engine lol. The alt connections are going in toward the engine. I can't even see the wires or other side of the alt. Guys have any opinions to get at it?

I don't care anymore this comp is hideous. He just told me if they don't like it, don't show up. Well since there's not many systems in my town only the judge and sponsors will show up lol. I know every person that has a system in my town. I told them about this and they are not interested in it anymore either.
