  1. Your going to get what you pay for with Double Dins, The Pioneer is junk and don't even consider any other Pioneer. I would ONLY use Kenwood Double Dins. After having helped install a few, and getting to play with JVC, Sony, Kenwood, Dual, Jensen, Boyo, and Pioneer double dins. I would put the Kenwood on top by a LONG shot. It has the best graphics, the best interface, the best EQ, and fastest processor.
  2. You'll get volume and height out of that, but miss out on the rest Darn! How about TWO pa speakers? One on either side of the dash?
  3. I've decided to just mount a PA speaker in the middle of my dash and call it done.
  4. The Fascinate. Galaxy S phones are crushing all others right now.
  5. No one should be able to give designs without your listening goals, the xmax of the woofer, tuning you would like, and SD of the woofer.
  6. Not without a significant amount of processing......more processing than most processors are capable of. And even then, with the spacing of the mids just in that picture (I don't know what the rest of the setup looks like, if there is anything else) there are going to be some serious limitations and disadvantages to that setup if one were trying to do anything other than get loud with it. This is the truck cableguy was talking about staging well.
  7. This is wrong.
  8. I couldn't see this staging well. I may be very wrong though and it may stage amazingly.
  9. The gain is meant to match the voltage of RCA's. There is NO average setting.
  10. So it's not an SPL build. It's just a daily system, big difference in H/U.
  11. It goes hand in hand. Any good business would have taken care of this before it came to this NO MATTER THE SITUATION AND WITHOUT MAKING EXCUSES. Even if it got to this point, they should be bending over backwards to make it right. That's all there is to it. Some people just like to fuck people over and be a BS company....... ~Cough~ Steve ~cough~
  12. They been switching shops since September?
  13. This will be my thread I show EVERYONE who wants DC power.
  14. Dude, I'm sorry you have to wait so long. File it with your bank and get your money back from them.
  15. Add to this, I heard nothing close to a stage in JP's Tahoe. And I'm sure Meade's is no better. In JP's, his keeps up from having 12 mids and 8 tweeters...... But even with that, neither JP or Meade's Tahoe are the loudness I am shooting for in my wall.
  16. I cannot run an Active 3-way front stage with the radio I have now, the way I am doing it now. I am happy with a 2-way now, but I do not know what I am going to do yet.
  17. Yeah, I know I just call it 16 band. I will have the van torn apart soon, so I will be able to test a single set of components set up good against the bass to see how it goes. It can't be a "normal" single set...you will need the efficiency of the horns with a monster midbass. Really will kick some ass then. I'm just wary of the horns. I've never heard a good sounding set.
  18. Lol. Goodnight sir.

  20. Not at all, lol. Just trying to understand it all. I'm used to just throwing a set of RF co-axles in and calling it done. lol
  21. Convenient so when you sell them to buy something that actually fits your needs you won't lose money What do you think I need? Monster mids, some horns and associated eq. The last page should outline that rather well for you. Why do I need horns? And how would I mount them for good staging? What do you mean "associated EQ"? You need them because you want staging which is NOT possible with three tweeters. Usually due to the form factor you mount them under the dash. Horns need to be "tamed" which requires some flexibility in your eq. They have more anomalies than standard tweeters, but nothing that is beyond eq to repair. If you have absolutely no eq you will need some depending on your subjective definition of how good you want it to sound. The tweeters will be moving up to the A-Pillars. And I can see mounting a large horn there. lol I have the 16 band EQ on mu radio?
  22. He's never pissed. I used to hate him, he was always such an asshole to me. lol But he's just trying to help. He has helped me in more ways then just audio.
