  1. procrastination is my worst enemy....jeez. anyways i started glassing my left door some time ago and just started up again. back then.... all taped up: ready to go!: first few layers: and it stayed like that for a couple months.... today: some guides so i can raise the back for more airspace (no releasing agent) : they fell off while cutting it. oh well ill glass them back on: and i finish the nite by closing the back area: more to come...

for the people to lazy to "right click, open in new tab"
  3. http://binkster.net/extras.shtml free for download
  4. i see the stuff being used in doors, but would it be beneficial any to use this egg carton acoustic foam in a car subwoofer enclosure? http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.c...amp;rak=260-515 and if it is beneficial, i should just apply to the entire side the motor is facing right?
  5. what about these: http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=8208 http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...roducts_id=8209 they are on sale right now.
  6. yea ///M5 will get on your butt to go active or design a correct cossover for the drivers. hes been doin it to me for months thanks to him, i got motivated to finish glassing my doors and go active lol thank you!
  7. After discount, I think it breaks down like this: Focal 165V2 - $200.00 JL Audio 300/4 - $175.00 JL Audio 500/1 - $192.50 ... before tax, of course. I'm all for supporting the little guys as long as they kick ass. -J. woah thats cheap. still pm him and see what he can do hehe
  8. how much are you getting the JL's for? I would hit up denim and see if you can get a bundle discount with amps. im sure he can get you imo better amps for a cheaper price than the jls, like zed or sundown (never heard any of them so take it with a grain of salt, but i also believe in supporting this site ), but the JL's will work just my thoughts.
  9. i think they sent it an ungodly clipped signal. are you sure they were "proffesionals"?
  10. RL-p. very punchy. also i would reccomend an Infinity kappa VQ. punchiest sub ive ever used.

hey lukas, a suggestion for AJ, when you click an external link, i think it would be better if you made it open in a separate window. it prevents the user from multitasking or viewing more than one piece of news at a time, and the user stays on your page.
  15. give acidburn a pm. IIRC hes running a couple sealed rl-i's also if you MUST have rear fill, ditch the focals and get some budget speaks and use the excess money on a better front.
  16. true true. i hath forgotten to take that into consideration. i stand corrected its a pain in the butt to take the seats out...it really is running through the gas taink isnt that much of a hassle, its taking those dang seats out. at least you got me into looking fro xovers and eq's for when i DO take my seats out. i thank you for the motivation.
  17. While I like that tweet and haven't heard the cal 25 I really, really do not think it is fair to compare the two using some arbitrary bastardized passive crossover. I am not saying I don't want to hear your reaction but please do realize that your crossover is leaving an order of magnitude of potential improvement not being used. You really should start playing in the active world. i know. i really should go active..... ive been contemplating it for a year ever since i got rid of my SLC's. i WANT to go active, but the difficulty of even installing extra speaker wires (thats all thats really holding me back) outweighs the contentness i have with my front stage right now. or maybe somewhere down the line where i can get someone to help take my seats out again ill do it. but for now, no active. comparing both of the tweeters using the same crossover IS fair...i'm just using the same crossover, and thats how they individually perform paired with it. I may not be using either of the tweeters to thier full potential but in this particular environment, the Seas outperforms the Cal25.
  18. yes. false false false. like almond said, clipping kills the sub. people are just too stupid to to set their gains correctly, or use a smaller amp in fear of overpowering thier speaker.
  19. elmers is all ive ever used...its funny how the glue we use in elementary school is the same glue we use today
  20. hahahaha i didnt mean to do the 1337 sp34k...it came out naturally?
  21. the xover point is 2.6khz 12db/octave passive a/d/s xover, and yeaup they are metal!
  22. http://www.madisound.com/catalog/product_i...products_id=628 ^^^ right there. worth about 2-3x more than the price tag IMO. dang man, after a half hour joy ride around town, i would have to say these tweets >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>the rainbow cal 25's. they dont pronounce the acoustic guitar string pluck as well as the cal25, but these suckas are a heckuva lot more detailed, fuller sound and blend better with my AA mids. i kept wanting to drive around listening to more and more music...unfortunately my ride has come to an end ill have a full review up hopefully after i get more listening done.
  23. Seas Neo. teh sekushinesss!
  24. apparently it is since the dp was tc9 based IIRC looks a little beefed up from the typical tc9
