yea the xterminator line by no means compares to the old school amps, however for the power it does do, its a solid amp, very good clean and reliable (like you said lol). never used the 2000d, only an 800.2 and it was very nice.

to be completley honest, lose the Background and the acid trip letter colors i cant read anything edit: black BG and solid letter colors and you are good to go iMO

IIRC the 2008's will not look very different, but will be much more efficient. the md1d will also be back up to normal power as well.

well the gains and the subsonic filter are 2 different things if you box is ported, try to set the SSF around the tuning frequency. if your box is sealed, then either turn the SSF off or as low as you can set it.
