Dude must've seen the MSRP and thought it was high. Direct pricing was right around the affordable mark when compared to other subs in the price range + class, IIRC. I only have an account there to play games, I never accepted the confirmation e-mail ... so I can't clear that up.

Nuts indeed. Given that the plans give the dimensions and layout, it wouldn't take more than half a day to cut everything out and assemble it.

Should be much less than $65 USD / sheet for good-on-both-sides. 3/4 baltic birch good-on-one-side is only around $25 CAD / sheet here.

That's just under 8.5 x 8.5 x 8.5 inner dims ... if I had 1/2" laying around I'd use it.

That sucks. I got a new pair with a bag that says "This is ideal for cleaning" ... bullchit, it definitely doesn't work on the one set of lenses with the mirror-like finish (creep style lenses).
