You bet. I'll get paid for this week because I had booked the vacation well in advance. I haven't gone down to book in my time for picketing yet ... and I won't be doing that tomorrow, or Friday either as I'll be busy, doing nothing, at home ... on my vacation. Sucks though ... if it goes for any longer than a week or two, places start laying off employees because no one has any money to spend in the stores (this union covers a LOT of people in this town). If you do one picketing shift a day, you get something silly like $100 a week and a chicken or two for food. $100 is a slap in the face, so you won't catch me out there. <shrug> Hope they resolve it quick and get what they want, though. 8% increase first year, 4% second year, and 3% third year definitely works for me.
