I don't mind. I just don't want to have to hunt around for winter wheels and tires so soon. On a good note I should be able to spend a fair bit of time on the sled this winter.

x2 - I get mad cash if some uninsured asshole hits me ... and if for some reason that doesn't work out, I get a brand new car of the same model either way. I love my insurance, but I do pay a premium for it.

The snow has arrived. I am not a happy man right now. It will all melt and be sunny for the next two months though, but still ... I can't wait to head to Atlanta for a few days where it is still 80*+.

And those damn wheels I found for a great price will not fit my car because the brakes are too large. Now I'm on the hunt again for winter wheels/tires. Hopefully I can luck out and find a set that fits and is relatively cheap.

Everything in that price range will be similar. Best bet would be to try and pick up a certified used commercial-quality bike. Also, look at a spin bike - Tixter, RevMaster, LeMond ... brand new $1200+ but in your price range used.

I love it - I have come to really like the LX platform (300/Charger/Magnum). I get around 17-18 MPG in the city and on the highway I have been getting around 25 MPG - I am making a full highway road trip on the 1st through the prairies so I should be seeing about 26-27 MPG. If you want to know anything about the car or more of my thoughts just let me know. Have you seen pictures of my car yet?

Scored some winter wheels and tires for the 300C ... $400 and a two hour drive one way to pick them up. Beats the $1200 it would have been locally. That means .............. ....... there's a little bit of money in my pocket for a mod. Maybe an in-dash, a CAI, ...
