  1. Definitely not going to stop looking. I still want to check out the Nissan and Mazda lots.
  2. Going to light a fire under the salesman's ass tomorrow. Get this deal done by the first week of June at the latest. I think three full months is more than enough time. I bitched and got an order from factory done in ten days so I'm pretty sure he can find something in his network in three months.
  3. Imagine that.
  4. Whoa black betty
  5. I have to be ... otherwise I wouldn't be able to get everything that needs to be done in a day, done in a day.
  6. *Raises hand*
  7. Cash can actually sometimes hurt the negotiation as they make money in finance. I'd actually tell them you plan to finance with them and when it comes time in finance pay cash. What will make the salesman move is to be firm with your offers and 100% prepared to walk away if you don't get the deal you want. 9 out of 10 car deals I make, I get up to leave at least 2x in the process of negotiating. So I am guessing that the money made financing through them goes higher up than anyone concerned with cutting me a deal (dealership included) ...
  8. So that is what you are getting?
  9. Only problem with those is that I am trying to get away from the severe cheap GM plastic. The '07's on the lots here are rental returns that the dealerships bought at auctions, and we all know how we drive rental units. There are a TON of them on the lots here and in BC!
  10. Great - let me know what you think.
  11. I will damn well get exactly what I want for my hard earned cash.
  12. Hopefully by paying cash for the car I get in the next couple months will be enough pull to get the salesman to move a little bit. I want a car cover and a set of winter tires, too.
  13. Eagles - New York Minute
  14. That may require medication or a 9mm.
  15. What winks and screws like a tiger? ...
  16. Haven't heard anything yet. A fully loaded '05 CTS is not out of my budget ... as per what the listings on Autotrader.ca say.
  17. Coming from you, that makes me happy. The original plan was to get an '08 CTS, but it doesn't make sense to drop that kind of cash on a vehicle when you are in my situation with the highway and heavy snow travel, plus all of the other factors.
  18. Overall ... he enjoys it? I assume you have either driven it or ridden in it or both ... your thoughts? I do like the interior too. Were the minor problems covered by the warranty? Any idea (roughly) how much he has dropped on those repairs?
  19. The dealerships go to the auctions and pick up the cars around here - or someone in their network. Guy flat out said that the reason that there are a ton of '07 Impala's on the lots (in BC and AB anyway) is because of one of the programs GM has ... they were rental vehicles. No thanks. I'll have to do a little research on the '04-'05 CTS. I could definitely settle for that now.
  20. Manual Legacy sedan? Didn't find anything today. Talked to a salesman who is going to look for a used CTS for me. '04 or '05 and he figures they would be priced around $22-$25K.
  21. Off to continue looking at vehicles.
  22. Unfortunately I am sure there is a reason why there are a million '07 Impala's sitting on the lots. I drove one today and it felt like a bunch of bulky plastic that didn't handle very well compared to the Accord I also drove. There are not too many domestic vehicles I am looking at. Maybe a Grand Prix GXP ? They (GP, Impala) seem so cheap on the inside compared to others.
