  2. No, lol. I dont think pause is in eclipse's dictionary. SQueers. http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4B5lgelc6zl/c...HP680&s=0&cc=01 http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4B5lgelc6zl/c...=300&I=133C7303 no pause, even on the remote I like this kenwood...and it has pause http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4B5lgelc6zl/c...300&I=113MP5032

  4. NP: Can I Have It Like That - Pharrell This song's beat is kind of drone-like. The lyrics arent all that great. But if your subs have some serious low end athority with them it's fun.
  5. Yeah, That is what I thought. The shell is largely calcium carbonate (CaC03). When it comes in contact with any actid it releases carbon dioxide and neutralizes the acid. When Calcium carbonate is neutralized it releases carbond dioxide. Lots of carbondioxide = lots of pressure. Shwate.
  6. If anybody can find that wyclef song I would be eternally grateful. I've been singing it since I saw it on the chappell show.
  7. Though unplesant, I had an HCl bomb blow up almost right after it left my hands. Loud and I sprinted to the nearest focet to wash the acid spray off of me, the plastic didnt hurt at all. Now that cap...that is another story.
  8. I beleive it is the calcium carbonate (basically lime rock) in the mentos shell that reacts with the carbonic acid releaseing all of the C02 extremely quickly. How they sealed it up before the reaction started I have no idea. It works with ALL sodas containging carbonic acid, people just use diet because it doesnt have surgar so there is less stickey mess. I'm going to try it with tums (basically just calcium carbonate). The only way I think they could have done that is to have put some sort of buffer layre over the mentos or w/e they used. Time to raid the chemical room agian.

Ryan, I did what you said and it works great, I actually thing I had it too tight before because now it spins a little better. I got it all back togather yesterday and did a coupe runs up and down my street to make sure the brakes where going to work and that the tires wherent wobbleing any. Then I drove about 200yds with the brakes held to ware them in some (I read somewhere it can only help). Then took it up to 30, cut the engine....no baring noise or anything. Same thing at 60. Then I did a few 60-0 gradual brakes and the brakes work wonderfully. Then I did a few 60-0 "panic" brakes (to where ABS kicked in) and I am actually stopping much better. The pads hadnt even gotten past the blue "brake in" stripe where the box says panic braking will get better past this brake in stripe (like the first 1/16" of the pad). All in all I only spent ~ $110. Would have been $10 cheaper but my hook up at the machine shop doesnt work on fridays. Next time I know to be a little more careful when removeing the dust cap too. Never thought a little aluminum cup would cost me $5.98. I'll also be more conservative with my brake cleaner or just use kerosene (sp) so I dont have to buy two cans.
  13. I got a stickey NP: Long December - Counting Crows
  14. Even if you got an SX, you reveived a superior woofer. Also, it could have been blown an reconed with an inverted dustcap or even with SX soft parts.
  15. I like to pause it, especially when I'm riding with someone. We can listen to music, pause, have a conversation, and resume. It's also good for cruising when you dont want to listen to the stereo, but when idiots are trying to show off you can just temporarily unpause it for a few seconds and most times they turn it down. I'm thinking about selling my CD3434 and buying an Alpine 9852 or finding a Pioneer or Kenwood that has pause on the remote at least.

It's the Hayman's manual for my truck. There are much higher ratings for modles up to '94 then they get substantially lower.
  17. Looking around for a new head unit I've found that the majority of units from reputable companies (save alpine) dont have pause in their mid level units. Kenwood, Pioneer, Eclipse...none of them have pause in the $2-$300 range. My CD3434 doesnt have pause. Even sony units lack pause. Pioneer and Kenwood's lower units have pause and all of their highest units have pause...but in between it seems to be the companies think we dont like to pause our music or compeat... /rant

Odd thing, the manual says to either use new bolts OR apply thread lock on the caliper mounting bracket bolts. only says 120in-lbs but when I tried to remove it took all of my weight and a 24' braker bar. That is almost 300 ft-lbs.
  19. CBFryman replied to CBFryman's topic in Photography
at first I thought it was ft-lbs then I looked at the bottom of the list in the book and it said all are in in-lbs. I took my wrench that has a 25in-lb incraments up to 300 (uses a scale instead of the release 'clickley' mechanism) and turned untill it reached just below 25, backed off 1/2 turn then did it agian. When I took the hub/rotor assembely off I literally only needed a screw driver to remove the dust cap, needle nose plyers for the cotter pin, and that is it. The rest came off by hand.

Also, Ford pisses me off. They reccomend 10-17in/lbs for the hub nut. That is finger tight. I dont even own an in-lbs torque wrench that goes that low. Hell I dont think I've seen one. I'm sure they make them but that is some seriously sensetive equiptment as far as 'basic' hand tools go.

  22. NP: We Ready - Archie Old but it's part of my warm up track. Time trials for XC today, gotta get pumped if I'm going to make the irreplacable top 5. 112* heat index...

Sand, Pumice...same stuff. I even tried brake cleaner...sisnt really help any. It's like the greese went down into my pores. It doesnt even wipe on stuff anymore...just darker skin...lol. Packing barings is by far my least favorite thing to do.
