x2, untill you get up into the higher frequincies. I made note of that in my 9th grade exparament when i tested Marine plywood agianst MDF and OSB. The test encloues used PHI but my first enclosues where perfect cubes. it wasnt untill 380Hz that i started seeing problems that where almost all identical with all three matirals. 1/2 a wave length of 400Hz is ~ 1.25 feet and the internal dimentions of the enlcosues where 14.5"x14.5"x14.5" (was for a w0 10, ended up blowing it in testing and went the cheap way out on a road master 8 and new enclosues with 1/2" materials). i would post the graphs to show you but i never completed that part of the exparament with thoes encloues after i blew the driver.

why would you want it. the JL's and every other amp ive experenced which have this feature take as long or longer than tube amps to turn on. Becuse not only does it have to recognise a signal but it also has to go through the initial current checks and all. Waste of good music time IMO. When you have to wait 20sec to hear music, that = ghey. Auto turn on FTL

If i where planning on useing external ports for my SPL set up (probably a pair of 6") to decrease cancelation and turbulance would it still be a good idea toconjure up some type of brace for the port? i would assume so but im not 100% sure. Keep in mind i want to easily be able to change the length of the port not only for trial and error testing to get the highest score but also so i can give it a daily tuning for the ride too and from the competitions and so i dont have to lug the Ava out of and into my truck every other weekend.

it isnt a problem with a subwoofer because the frequincy is so low the wavelength is longer than the enclosure (12" internal, maybe 13 if you are looking for 1cuft after displacement). You must have room for two andinodes and a node which is 1/2 a wave length. Even at 80Hz 1/2 a wave length is several feet. So, for sub enclosures internal cancelation isnt an issue, and if it is astheticaly pleasing use it. However if you are talking home theatre for enclosues that will be playing midbass it can, and mostlikely will, become an issue.

ive been thinking about why i wanted a truck that gets 18mph, isnt even really quick, just funn on buttery roads because of the 4.10 locker in the rear, and worse of all is hard to make out in. Well getting her ready for prom i figured it out. I did a full detail exvept for tire stuff. Vacumed, Wax, armoralled the interior, wcrubbed every nook and cranny of the wheels, cleanned the windows inside and out, and to wax it i parked her under the tree in the front yard. for $75 the Assasin is a steal. Assasin outclasses the RE RE on almost every perspective. But, as mentioned, they are single 4ohm. Ascendant has great customer service. Just because chad doesnt have time to look at his forum on sin or doesnt want to doesnt mean he isnt one of the most helpful guys over the phone or by e-mail. If you are willing to venture into the 100+ range only other loud option i could offer is the 187. or look for used eclipse's. the 10's and 12's with the TC9 go for around 130 on ebay all the time.

dont forget Incriminator, Mpire, and Adire hasnt changed its prices as much as RE. A tumult for 700 retail and probably 5-600 from a dealer is better than w7, SX, and probably MX. sure there was the initial piss off at adire, but once they actualyl start sending out drivers full fledged like they used to i think you will see the bonor come back. Brahma is still basically the same price as before. Also, ascendnat is by far running the best deals right now. the Assasin outcalsses the RE series in many ways, low end extension, output, clarity, and sexiness. Im amazed chad can do it for the price. and then there is the semi main stream such as alpine and eclipse and dimond which have good deal vs performance. Im not going to lie, the Type R is a great driver, i jsut odnt like it because of it beind put on a pedistule it is unworthy of. TCsounds is still going good and strong, mostly because of their awsome motors which they do OE manufactureing for some of our favorite companies. Much like adire. All in all im not irritated because i think the DIY realm os over. Im irritated because they alienated the people who got them off the ground in the first place. oh and custom Mag 8 would kick ass
