Well, plans changed, the TC9 i bought to replace my Ava... now going to be turned into a Death Penulty. WOOT! though the TC9 used by the actualy DP isa 1st cousin of the OE TC9 used on the e12a acourding to Nick... the DP soft parts should still work i think. Waiting for 100% confermation. Soooo if you have a 15" basket lying around i would be happy to take it from you. and for daily driving, 18's or nothing for me. when SI makes a Mag 18 ill be happy to loose the Ava... if i had the right connections im sure i could do it. But i dont, so im not. OE 18" pulp paper cone, OE surround, same spider configureation as the other mags, Mag motor, 18" basket, Mag Coil... if i had the resouces and the connections and the money i would do it fo' sho'

Rule of thumb. 12-16 per cuft as long as you dont exceed Sd of the driver. more power and a driver with more stroke, more port area. eaiest way to be almost certian y uhave enough. Graph in WinISD and check rear port velocity. Try to keep it under 60ft/sec and you shouldnt have any problems with port noise if you round the edges. Also, if using aero ports or ports with big flares, less port area can be used because the flare allowes for greater vlocities with out noise and less restriction to air movement.

Beg to differ. When i lived in Orlando our pool was 10ft deep, and we had a diving board. Our school's pool is 13ft deep at its deepest point. No diving board though. Now when my Aunt and Uncle got their pool put in in plant city, 7ft was the maximum, but 6ft was the standard...No diving board, of course, but they got a slide. Armor All + Wet ass = Nice pool though, Standard like 32x20 right? or something like that.

I would run the XXX18... RE isnt realy popular here and the SoloX 18 the local shop has...they want 1,200 for it...PFFT! i can buy my XXX and my amp for that much

i wasnt argueing either way. I was calculating displacement since Mrray was too lazy In an example, Ava18 only has 27mm Xmax, old XXX had 32...both with XBL..old XXX had alot higher power hanlding as well. Ava is louder watt for watt and, despite the XXX being a low end driver, the Ava is still capeable of getting louder lower. SI Mag is louder than the old XXX, alot less Xmax SX is louder than the old XXX. a wole dB in most casses even in drop in application, even less Xmax. SX is a hell of alot louder than the SE... similar Xmax. Xmax is really only the determining factor if you are going sealed/IB and you have the potential to use it to its full capeability.

XXX 18 total displacement: 17.6l (WOW) SoloX total Displacement: 10.24l and both of thoes are incorrect because actualy SD wasnt used...however the advantage is clearly ot the XXX But, since we are porting, even down low, Xmax isnt the determining factor. it helps though.

yeah, my truck was an invest ment too right? i paid 7k for it, its worth 6k now... and it gets 18mpg with my foot and im paying $3 for a gallon of gas, my GF lives 30mi away from my house and i only use synthedic oil which cost me $20 just for 5 quarts, not mentioning the performance oil filters i use. Yeah i paid 200 bucks for my higonics amp, i'd be luckey to get 150 for it now... investments, its all depreciating because the price of oil has gone up so the DOW is down therefore it's the economy's fault, the economy is the presidents fault...DAMN BUSH FOR GIVING ME THIS ADDICTION!!!
