booo!!!!!!!! when was it shipped out? If it comes on tuesday after school that would be super sweet and crazy. But hopefully it comes monday. Joes only day off is tuesday and i have to work on wednesday. I already put tuesday off at work. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> dunno when it shipped out not sure if i'd have time to go if it arrives tuesday, i'd have to show up relatively late. get out of school at 4, then gotta take the sub out so I can line up to holes to drill for the h-nuts. then i gotta put the whole enclosure in my truck which involves removing/replacing my seats. then i gotta wire up the amps. rush hour would be teh suck. so lets just hope it comes monday <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It better come monday. Why dont you just put the enclosure in now and wire up the amps ? You could always put the stuff in the back of your truck and wire it up when you get here. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Cuz then I'd have to put the sub in and put the screws in while holding the sub up. Even with help, it's no fun. I'd much rather put the sub in with the box lying on its back. Many a sub surrounds/cones have fallen victim to my drill, I'd hate for that to happen to a mag.

Pretty much all true There are a few really good tubes that don't cost much at all, but the problem is people find them and then they aren't cheap anymore. Tube bandwagons are really common...people have big 300B triode boners, and 211 boners, while tubes like the Svetlana 811 are ignored by "real audiophiles" even though spec-wise they do better than the old 300B. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You lost me at 300B Ive got no idea what is what From what i gather...the amp is only as good as the t00b. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The amp is only as good as the transformers...the tubes are secondary to that. In a big single-ended amp, 80% of the parts cost is invested in the power and output transformers, especially the power - makes sense considering it's always on, through 360deg. of the waveform, continually. If the transformers aren't good enough, bass and treble response sucks. What tube you use determines the operating characteristics like plate voltage and current, and ultimately final power output, but a good tube with a bad transformer will sound like ass. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> that's what optimus prime said.

lol I used to dl movies on a 56k connection, took me days to finish one movie after all the disconnections.
