I hear ya. My mouse runs out maybe monthly or so, haven't actually counted how long. However, I have the logitech media mouse which has all the audio controls on it that light up whenever I press a button on it so that kills the battery. Really convenient mouse since I play music all the time and it has an "invisible laser" which is neat.
