  3. smooth and natural would be a good word to describe em. I was only feeding them 100w, and they still got decently loud in my half-assed deadened doors. If I had sealed up my doors better, it would have filled out the bottom end that I was lacking. I did have trouble on my first set of midbasses though, the removable tweeter mount has to be aligned perfectly or you're going to get rubbing. Dust getting inside the gap is the main problem with these, but it doesn't happen all too often. I definitely liked the midrange of them, maybe even moreso than my extremis (but the extremis = teh rapage in low end). I bought mine for $300 brand new ($100 for a set of mids only) with warranty. Try to get cardomain to get a pricematch. If you're going used, you should pay 225ish for good condition ones. Since you're checking out braxial type speakers, might want to look into the memphis msync. Reasonably priced, and audiolife and squeak swear by them.

Did she go all out with the DVD / voice activated navi, 18's, backup camera, bluetooth, 13 speakers, etc? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I have no clue what she got. She's a girl and doesn't know anything about cars. She didnt get the navi though what a shame.
