i can only wish. how many fb layers would u use? how would u attach it to the door? i'm definitely not looking forward to sanding. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> 4 layers is good. screw it to the door, and put caps on the screw head. or have pre dirlled holes in the door, and have plastic snaps atached to the panel and and snap it in to the door. buy a hand sander, makes things better. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> thanx for the tips. does that mean u cant ever take the doorpod off again?

thanx. did u just use 3m adhesive spray to apply? if so, i also see that there are different kinds (74, 77, 90, etc), any recommendations which one to use? if not, which glue did u use? TIA

there's resin all over my hands and idk how to wash it off. everything i grab gets stuck to my hand, and then some of the resin rubs off onto it. i think i'm gonna buy vinyl to cover the doorpods and take off all the tweed on other parts of my car and put vinyl on there. should be much cleaner. vinyl sound good?

lol that sux man. i thought i was gonna scream a bad word like i normally do, but i didnt. i guess the fb numbed my foot or something, so i started laughing. then a minute later the pain started to set in and now it feels like fire. i like it

i started the doorpods today. gosh darn dudes at acoustic-visions are on vacation so my extremis' are taking a couple extra days to get sent out. 4 layers. not sure if it's enough, what do yall think? so i was carrying them from the front yard to the backyard. ive only cut the excess off one of em, the other is still very jagged and sharp along the edges. i accidentally dropped it on my foot, and yall know how heavy a piece of fb that big is. i'm now in immense pain.

i was wondering how many layers of glass did you put on your doorpods. i just started my doorpod glassing today but i'm gonna go sealed.

yah just saw those the other day. thanx for the attempt though kali, but no need to worry, that forum is like my 2nd/3rd stop when i go online. i would have gone with one of the better priced seas offerings but i figured i would try out the extremis, which adire claims to hang with the excels, revelators, etc.

the extremis' are 8ohms, supposedly a 4ohm version will be coming out but who knows when thatll happen. josh laine is running the 4ohm version right now. power shouldn't be a really big deal with these drivers, wiggins told me 30wrms would be plenty. i bought em from www.acoustic-visions.com

if you want to save money, and still get a sweet driver, go for the seas L18RNX or seas CA18RNX. if you're looking for more power, you can go with the re xxx's since they're 2ohm. 13mm 1-way = a ton of output for a mid.
