enclosure for a 12" BL
when my car is running my voltage is at a steady 14.4v, so it should have had the full 1600 watts going to the sub. how do you post pictures on here? i found a pic of my old box saved on my computer but i dont know how to post it on here.

enclosure for a 12" BL
it was somewhere around 2.5 cu ft tuned to 36hz. the thing about the box that i remember was that the backside of the L port was about 26-27 inches in length.i think that was the problem. in the end i wasn't pleased with the output, it moved very little air.

enclosure for a 12" BL
bl just didnt sound good, there was hardly any excursion and it wasnt loud at all. i think it was due to lack of port area.

Correct measurements for a bl 12"
how high do u have the volume at? I notice on certain songs at the same volume the bl is just not as loud as my old cvr's(2 12's) (400 rms each). With my cvrs i didnt have to turn up the volume that much before it started to get loud. For example take the song young jeezy-I AM A do me, with my cvr's when i put the volume at 15 it gets pretty loud to where the rearview moves out of place. On the bl i put the volume at 20 and it just doesnt get as loud as the cvrs and doesnt even move the rearview out of place. The bl should be louder or just as loud as my old cvr's right? I know this sounds kinda weird, eventhough the bl is an spl sub it kinda sounds like an sq sub in the box. anton, how long did it take for your sub to break in?

Correct measurements for a bl 12"
everything overall. i previously had 2 12" kicker cvrs and they get louder than the bl, both lows and highs. so im thinkin the i may have messed up on the box.im thinkin the L maybe too long(backside;meaning the part within the box) and it maybe choking the sub.

L Ported Enclosure for a 12" BL
You can. Double baffle just means make the wall the sub mounts on so it is 1.5" thick (2 pieces of 3/4" glued together). You can also build the box full size and corner fill to help air flow. Brian oh alright gotcha, thanks. btw how much smaller can i go?
-
L Ported Enclosure for a 12" BL
if i just make the box smaller, can i avoid doubling up the baffle? (also im not sure what that means in reference to doubling up the baffle)

L Ported Enclosure for a 12" BL
yeah my bad, i meant a port width of 3". having it this big, will it affect how the BL will sound? ?
