I'm about at the point where I need some electrical upgrades, my car is an 04 Mustang, electrical is stock no big 3, has a Optima Yellowtop My amps Bass amp has 160 amps worth of Fuses, Treble amp has 60 amps worth of fuses. If i play songs with real long bass notes my treble cuts out, maybe its just my sh!!TY wal- mart sony amp, i have a brand new soundstream amp that I'm going to have put in here shortly. Anyway can I put a 2nd battery on the stock alt. or should i go with a 160 amp alt or a 200 amp alt or what?

My box is 9.5 cubes before port and displacement (for 2 15's) and my port is 39 x 3.25 inch and it is LOUD with just 2 15" Q's (kinda makes me wonder why everybody wants one of those 6 15 groundpounders)

how about 8 x 18 for the port plus whatever depth for the tuning freq youre lookin for

I just wanted to know, Is there a way to calculate how much power handling drops below tuned freq in a ported box. And how much power handling drops in larger ported enclosures, Other than win isd. I mean is their an actual mathmatical formula or no? Like for example I have 2 Fi Q 15s with BP power in a box that is 9.5 cubes gross 8 after the port @ 33 hz. How do i figure out how much power handling I have in this size of enclosure and how much it drops below 33 hz? Or does everybody pretty much play by ear and listen for bottoming out?

I really liked The Spirit not quite as good as Sin city in my opinion (which is my favorite movie ever) but it was pretty good

I mainly wanted to here some names of some classical song's, with lots of lower than rap low's. But I also wanted to here some other genre's with lots of low's.

What do you got for door and rear deck speakers? I Say just go with a 15" fully loaded SSD off of like 500- 800 watts so you can get a smaller less power hungry amp in like a 4-5 cubic feet box ported and that should be plenty for the average person. I have 2 15" Q's running off 1200 watts rms in a box that is 8 cubes after the port and its loud enough where I don't have it turned all the way up all the time cause you can feel a little bit of pain in your ears. So I think 1 15" Fully loaded SSD should be plenty. Barely smaller than 2 12's, cheaper than 2 12's, and if it gets burnt up you only have to replace one sub instead of two, or recone 1 sub instead of 2. And you could get a amp for around $250 to power it, with the crappy economy these days loud for as cheap as possible I would imagine is most people's goals and going with less bigger subs will do the job cheaper than more smaller subs

According to my calculations if its double slant 15" towards the rear seat 17" towards the hatch lid thats 8.2 cubic feet I would just go with 1 18" SSD off around 600-800 watts Ported that should be plenty loud bigger than two twelves and cheaper than two twelves and shouldn't be dimming you're lights as much as 1200 watts.

Alright hopefully nobody flames me for this but does any one know what the 1w 1meter spl will be compared to a BTL? or is this something that will not be known until they are for sale?

why not go with 4 8" subs ported?

04 Mustang Thread is in this same section I was thinking maybe if I Brace to the Trunk Section of my box to the Rear Deck it should work out pretty decent

BigJohn how do you keep you're rear deck from flexing? If i play anything with real low notes my deck shakes like crazy. Maybe I could dynamat it or something or brace it or something?

So how does the BTL sound in person does it sound decent or is pretty much strictly SPL?

why don't you just go with 1 really powerful 15 in 5.5 cubes off like a saz 3000? like a BTL 15 or IA Warden 15 or something
