thanks for the warning bassINyoFACE. i just wanted to make use of my 2 hifonics 1606d mono amp but i guess i will just end up having to purchase another amp with at least 2300watts rms at 2ohms to power my 15" fi btl. i chose 2ohms because the amp would run cooler and not really under any stress as opposed to 1ohm

sub is dual 2ohm and the specs on the hifonics is 1100rms at 2 ohms which is just around enough to power 1 voice coil i believe. what do you think?

would anyone recommend running 2 hifonics brutus 1606d mono class amps to a 15" fi btl sub at 2ohms and connecting each voice coil separately if no. why not?
