  1. u can try a Refurb hifonics bxi 2006 if u don't mind a downgrade. U can find it on sonicelectronixs.com for about 250. I have one and it works pretty well but it ain't stayin. i would like to try and stay away from maxxsonics products if posssible. i didnt like my crunch pzi 1500 at all since it constantly overheated.
  2. any other sugesstions? id like to order an amp soon so i can have it for when the sub arrives. .

  4. where could i find one for sale new and how much?
  5. I recently purchased a fi bl 15 with the cooling option and was wondering what might be a good amp for it thats under 300 shipped. I was looking into the audioque 1200 but it seems as if not many people have experience with them. All sugestions are welcome. The sub is a dual 2 ohm and going into a ported enclosure around 3.5 cuft(tuning suggestions welcome as well) maybe bigger if i can fit it, theres not too much trunk room in my saturn sc2.
  6. would there really be a huge gain in output with the bl over the q, given they would be in the same enclosure and on the same amp?
  7. I recently sold my old setup and im looking into getting a 15" Q and an audioque 1200 amp. will i need to get the bp option if i use this amp or should it be safe without it. The sub will be going into a 3.3-3.4 box tuned around 30hrtz. Also my old setup was 2 12" pioneer premiers tsw3001d4's hooked up to a crunch pzi 1500 in a 3 cuft box tuned to 33hrtz, how do you think the q will sound compared to those?
  8. you would have to get that answer from KU40 i have no idea about dcr
  9. i would highly doubt the temp because i have been running mine hard all winter in temps below 0
  10. so it works with the car off but not while the car is on?
  11. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_11671_...ch+P1500.1.html that is the one that i have it is the newer one but like i said i dont think there were any changes. its a good amp but doesnt put out 1500 watts more like 800-900 rms at 1 ohm but its loud enough for me.
  12. when i put the gain on .2 it is alot louder than if i put it on 6 so i try to leave it around 2-3, and make sure the bass boost is all the way down as well. i actually have the newer version of this amp put i dont think anything would be different.
  13. they are 1 ohm stable i have two pioneer premiers on mine at 1 ohm the only time it went into protect mode was when i put the bass boost all the way up. try to turn the settings down on the amp if they arent already. if thats not the problem then the .7ohm load might be your problem. ive been running my amp at 1 ohm for about a year now and no problems it does get very hot though.
  14. Right now i have a crunch pzi 1500.1 amp powering these two subs and i know it is putting out less than 1000w rms so these subs arent even being powered 1/2 way but they are still very loud(i have a 96 saturn 2 door and a 3cuft box tuned to 33 hz) i was just wondering what amp would be good to run these with without getting a HO alternator. I dont need an amp that is going to push these to there max i just want one with more quality than the crunch and that wont overheat. The crunch is alright but tends to get very very hot.
  15. i feel as if you might need a new car or some beastly upgrades....
