^ learn something new everyday. i never used that wire. and i hate how bright my HU is sometimes lol. But it doesn't always work with some H/U. My JVC KDSH1000 has built in dimming that you pre-set according to the time of day. So, the dimmer switch does nothing for this H/U

I'll be there early on Saturday because....well I'll be honest, I don't know what the heck to expect when I get there. I'll have a bud of mine that helped me out a little on the build, with me also... Mikey should remember what my truck looks like, he heard the last install I did. These Icon's should put up some decent numbers with my new design, but I'm there for the fun of the show just wanting to see my actual DB and to rep. the wonderfully awesome world of SSA!

Here's the Icon's dropping a sweep. Half way through you can hear my pop can working it's way out of the cup holder..... My bud just caught it before it took a dive on the floor. Sorry, I tried to upload this to YouTube like 20 times and kept giving me an error... I finally got it!

My thoughts exactly! They hit the whole scale cleanly!! You guys really pulled the right mojo for these Icon's! Hands down the best SQ sub I've ever had the pleasure of hurting my ears with! Saying these suckers are loud is an understatement for sure........ Their ability to move air is unreal!

I do have my eye on those stylish new cones!!! Once this is all dressed up I just may send them in! I think it would really set things off!

You know you need to get out more often Mark...LOL The show's in a few weeks and there's going to be some other fellow forum members there and you could be home the same day with a quick little plane trip....(hint, hint)

O.k......Making the video today.... It's sunny, hot and humid as hell outside but, you guys have to see these back in action. The hood has made a WORLD of difference in the output into the cab. I tried the pop can trick but my windows aren't shaped right for it so I had to start off holding it there before the bass hit. It kinda stuck there until the note stopped so, not really worth much a video on that. I just have to go find a place to shot it at...People are quick to call the cops around this town if their "peace" is disturbed. So it's out to the back roads, a.k.a. Farm Country...LOL

Mechman does not give you a read out sheet anymore... I just got mine a month ago and they explained to me that he got thousands of phone calls from confused customers so he doesn't give out the sheets anymore. Plus there is a formula that has to be figured due to different size pulleys that are on the other parts of your motor that have to be factored in the equation. Once the figures are correct you get you're accurate measurements. However, all of their alts are guaranteed to produce their rated amperage. Mine is solid and holds it's voltage within .2 volts even when system is at max. Way better than my old P.O.S. Iraggi alt I had last year that burned up in less than two months.
