amp wiring
Then....what is the wire connected to?????? an amp.....???? Fuses protect anything in the line after the fuse point. Before I started fusing power dist, i've blown a internal fuse to an amp once that melted the connection on the mainboard of the amp....(a quick fix, but not fun) A sharp birr in the car somewhere dug into the power feed over time and grounded out... You try to avoid things at all cost but over time fact is things can happen.. I'll always fuse any dist. block that feeds power to multiple amps, even if the amp has an internal/onboard fuse..... Never had a problem and I usually test full power all the way from the alt to the amp....14.9 all the time!

....LOL That koiiler 1000 watt 2-ch isn't pushing 1000rms...more like close to 1000 peak... so it's not really dumping that much juice through any wire...

Sweet! Thanks for the input guys! (I kinda liked the black one better too!) I think the black makes everything look more "stealthy".

8ga. power wire.... That's my sub wire! LOL A fuse block would be better to use in your case. Use the one you have now as a ground block..(b/c no fuse is needed on ground)

Brushing resin on inside of box
I've never had resin make mdf more brittle..... I know this for a fact, after actually using this for years the resin soaks into the mdf and actually makes it tougher. The f/g fibers will actually make it tough as metal. Hardened poly resin is rock hard pretty tough itself.. I can snap a 6" wide strip of mdf with ease, after resin is applied to the surfaces it's a lot harder to snap.... It also helps around the sub cut out to keep you from blowing out the holes for screwing the subs in. Run the all thread before you coat anything, then apply the resin to the all thread as well. it will help to minimize any vibrations as well as seal up the hole from the all thread...

Jay-C76's 2005 Ranger Install
The best info I've found on the rules for each is found on www.soundoff.org As long as I can get my windshield replaced in time I'll be there... I'm trying to work as many hours as they'll let me but, my work has cut hours due to lack of work... I got off work at 12:30 today so, that puts a damper on the paycheck.... That being said, I had some time to play with the truck today! A few unfinished pics.... I'm about half way done with this... I think the finished product will be way more appealing to the eye. I hope to light the inside with blue neon, then replace that with LED in the future.

NEW SUBS tuff CHOICE
I just got mine a few months ago.. I LOVE EM' !!! You would have to pry these from my cold dead hands to get me to ever switch to another sub company.. And if the Icons are this good.....then the Xcons would make you wet yourself!

NEW SUBS tuff CHOICE
SSA all the way!!!! Having seen both brand on design software... The SSA's are your best bet if you like to listen wide variety of music. The response on SSA subs is superior across the REL board.... If you just want loud with peekish response then try Fi... x10 on the customer service comment for SSA.... They're one of if not the best in customer service.

Thumppers Ford Windstar Ground Pounder
Oh lord...... I can only begin to imagine what you have in mind.... Love the pics! Was keeping the two port radius equal, difficult.... It was when I did the one for the 4~R/F T1's. I had to keep stepping back to get a good look at them. Truely one bad a** enclosure you've designed there! (Two thumbs way up!)
