  1. think the saz 1200 is on sale right now. could also look at xcon. i would go with AQ or sundown amps for quality purposes.
  2. maybe some sound deadner. and that part that seperated the front battery from the rear battery, so the battery in the back does charge the one under the hood. forget what its called.
  3. can anyone put down one or two subs and opinions. even subs i didn't mention. need help making decision, but leaning toward nightshades.
  4. i would say yes. but it would be work to build the box.
  5. x2, I would go with the Sundown SAZ-4500D. Sundown SAZ-4500D FTW! i woulds go the same route, 4500d will probably sound better too for daily use.
  6. can you elaborate alittle more i already posted those subs, i need help choosing one of them.
  7. dont know how i screwed up post, but please read below.
  8. i have a 3500d and was wondering what would be better in all aspects and sheer output? would the BTL's fully loaded or nightshades be better in my situation. either choice will have box build big enough due to it going in an suv and tuned between 30-35hz might change what i tune it too, but it is for a daily set up. and if anyone wannts to throw in opinions about the xcon or ia death penalty feel free. electrical is 250h/o alt, with 3 batteries including the one under the hood. subs will be facing up with port back. port will be running along the bottom instead of right or left side.
  9. there is someone with 2 stetsom 14kd and 4 warden, you can see the video and judge for yourself in one of the forums.
  10. i would put 3 dcon 10" wired to 1.34 ohms on the sae 1200 and make the biggest ported box you can. or if you want trunk space do sealed.
  11. i would go with the sundown 1500d and a single nightshade 12', but since you want 2k watts i would go with the BTL and the sundown 2kd. remember when you step up past the 1500d you might need to upgrade the electrical. plus sundown is have sale on b-stock nightshades see jacobs post for info. i would not go with hifonics its overrated.
  12. would also choose the same combo, i think that sundown has more reliable amps with higher output. with the subs btl is 2k rms and the sx doesn't have the high out put plus the sound quality that you can recieve from the Xcon. doesn't mean you can't have the btl but the xcon in my opinion would be a better combo. if you purchased the btl i would step up to the saz 2kd, but then again think of you electrical.
  13. sorry not sellin, not my woofer.
  14. it's a 12" crossfire
  15. i know there is an insert image buttom, but what do i add in after the HTTP:/ if the image is saved to my computer, or even if it's not. just adding a picture.
  16. Yeah i read that they went through enclosure building and home theater and glassing. I want to learn to do all of those things in addition to what I already know about stereo from experience. My only hesitation would be the fact that most busineses want to see a Bach degree, or more. and i have yet to find a college that will hand out bachelors degrees for mobile audio dynamics. lol. I WISH!!! I am a firm believer that if you do what you love you will never work a day in your life. but also i have to be able to support my family. since you graduated from that school, how are you doing financially if you dont mind me asking? good wages, good market? i work at bestbuy install bay, i make 15.00 an hour not much, but what i do there is alot of repetition, about three deck everyday, and one amp install covers about a six hour shift. then we have alarms which we block the whole day off. before any one hires you you need experience. there are not going to hire you right out of school, plus you still wont know enough knowledge after school. but where i make my money is my side jobs. once you know your fiberglassing and box making you can have fun, but you have to realize people dont know how much money goes into fiber glassing, and dont go through with it after they hear the price of material and labor. ive done a couple of cars just for knowledge purposes didn't even charge them labor just materials and it was still expensive for them. along with my 40 hours of work. but after showing there cars off i was able to get clientel. now i just have business cards and do it out of my garage. eventually i will open my own business too, but im goin to graduate soon with my bachelors, but i will do all the business part of the job and just hire skilled labors to work for me and then ill do a car every once and awhile. Yeah does sound like a lot of repetition and busy days. Not a bad thing by any means for me anyways. Tho I can see how it may be hard right off the go. Since i would just be getting out of that school. I deffinately would love to get into fiberglassing and box building. Ok so big question. Was it worth it to go to this school? in hind site would you have still gone? and would you recomend this school to me or others? yes it was worth it, i learned alot of hands on stuff, i would recomend it, plus you meet alot of audio heads, and plus you get what you put into it. plus the home theater stuff you learn is awesome. remember i didn't pay for the school. if i had to drop money i think i still would go. being MECP Certified is good if you job wants you to have it, but it still only proves you can take test not take a car apart. remember out of an hour radio install 40 minutes is dedicted to taking the car apart and putting it back together 15 min putting the radio and harness together and 5 min of planning where you start before you do anything. once you do a car alot you can do a car fast. for example in a comepetion at work i did a 03 sierra in 11:15 min/sec. its pretty easy.
  17. It takes you 6 hours to install an amplifier...? no three decks and an amp install in 6 hours plus 30 min lunch.

  19. i actually went to that school, it was very fun and helpful. the first six weeks are car audio which goes through general audio, alarms and fiber glassing. the second part was home theater the books they give you are very helpful. my work paid for me to go to the school, thats why i chose it. i live in cali so i posted up in a hotel. to learn its a good school, if you just need to get mecp certified and thats it then i would go some where cheaper. they show ypu how to properly build a box and go through diff. kinds of boxes. if you are going to get a better knowledge about car audio it is a good place to go.
  20. iwould look at the RL-i8, cheap in price and can work in as little 0.2 cu/ft., plus it's a single 4 ohm which when you need to bridge an amp some of them only bridge at 4ohm.
  21. ive been waiting for a comp in so cal, nice.
  22. i am sellig a 3500d brand new never used . only opened box once when i originally received it. cosmetically looks 100% good.
