  2. The vas is 381 I think it's centimeters squared and j don't know how to convert that to cubic foot
  3. I've always liked ib setups my other car is setup that way I took the vents out of my trunk and sealed up the holes. What's the vas of the ib3 18 and is 475 Rms enough what about two ib3 18s
  4. 2009 corolla, trunk i 13cubic foot.
  5. understandable im just looking for a 600-1000Wrms daily driver to to hit lows. can i use the motor from this sub but a new basket and make an 18"
  6. What the cost usually on something like that?
  7. I have two MA XL15s that I want to recone. how do I go about doing that. Must I ship the subs to FI? here is a picture of the sub in case people don't remember them
  8. i think im just going to get a pair of FI IB 12s, sense these subs arent really made for IB setups, and they are decently loud, sound good and clear, and get really low i think a pair of the FI's would be better then putting these in a boz
  9. will building a sealed enclosure behind the subs and jsut leaving them this way sense its all sealed from the cabin give any more output?
  10. To be most accurate, I suggest proportional sizes. I'm not sure that a 2"x10"x.75" mdf covered in resin will hypothetically produce the same results as 20"x10"x.75" (a smaller common enclosure panel). If you change the size of the piece, that you would have to change the layer of resin to the same proportions as well as the thickness of the MDF. regardless of size my "data" i guess you could call it proves it made it stronger. so a bigger piece of wood will just yield higher break weights. Point in case, it did strengthen it
  11. So someone told me having the amp rack there is a bad idea and one person said its a "loading wall" WTF does that mean? should i take down my amp rack
  12. So i got bored today and wanted to squash this. I took 2"x10" pieces of MDF, one with nothing(control), one with a thin layer of resin on one side, one with a thin layer on one side and one covered in resin. I let it cure for 4hours outside, in the sun at aprox 78-80degrees. Could have been longer but it was enough. The control took 12lbs of pressure to break. one with resin on top took 15lbs, with resin on bottom however took 12lbs, and covered completely took almost 18lbs. Nuff Said
  13. yes its a sable. I still have to vacuum all the crap out of the trunk but overall It works. For now that is
  14. Yes I put the amp rack up and it sounds Ok, its a very entry level IB setup but for the most i am happy with it
  15. Well i made the amp rack alot taller i dont see why it would cause any sound issues here is what she looks like
  16. I am building an amp rack today and wanted to no if it can sit up close to the subs and kinda near the magnet, it wont be touching but only about 1/2" away will this be ok, here is a pic of my idea
  17. it most certainly is and thank you
  18. The above statement is very true, aswell as cheap bedliner in a can and I just recently(yesturday) tried krylon fusion, it worked great and even sealed the sides with only a few sprays
  19. Thanks, im quite please with the way it has turned out appearance wise but I am thinking about un screwing the baffle and seat bracket and putting carpet around the whole thing to cover up the metal
  20. All foamed up and done. just gotta attempt to make an amp rack tomorrow, cover it and install those, clean up my wiring and scrape off the old foam on the carpet. and done and the MESS
  21. ohh yea what should i set the SSF on my amp to?
  22. Mind you this is my first IB install, first time cutting stuff that actually has to fit good and first time using carpet Started to rain so project moved into the kitchen, no big deal Just that much closer to the budlight
  23. ok so i got all the big holes covered, just a few with the spray foam and we are ready to Go
  24. so i got the wood cut out for the trunk opening, just need to cut the speaker holes, paint the front of the box(going to carpet when i get some) spray foam a few spots and Done
  25. well im mounting a 3/4" piece of MDF behind it im sure thats enough for it
