Ive had the car taken apart a few times before and surprisingly in this car, other than the rear deck and the huge hole where the trunk opening is from the back seats, there are no more holes lucky me

i would spend the extra money and go with the IA even the 187 would be a nice setup, i have two of them now and love em

well one seat will be down a good majority of the time im not really looking for insane loud with this car, just trying to get the trunk space back for the wife so the 15s had to come out. but its all good, she gave me permission( yea i said it, she gave me permission )to buy a car to wall out with 6 to 10 12s the end of the summer

Ok so I sealed up the rear deck of my car, I have the MDF ready to be cut and set into place. My plan is to cut a 2" hole in the MDF to run my RCAs and power wire through, not sure how i can seal that up, any ideas? then im going to cut the speaker holes and mount the subs on the other side. that will be roughly 1" clearance from the back of my seat. I was going to try and find some rubber gasket at home depot to put around the MDF to seal it up to my seat opening surround. Does all of this sound like it will work out? Also im running a pair of boston acoustic g2 12s on my aq1200d for this setup

oh yea so do i my last 4 setups in this car have been single 12 setups, one type r 12, one RE SE 12, one RE SX 12 a LI 12 and DP 12 all in the last 10 weeks

one really good 12 still doesnt compare to 4 good 15s

Yea the wife and I have been working on the design ideas for 4 187 15s and a AQ2200d @ .5ohm daily, big 14cube wall at 34hz 200" of port

Yes I do agree. I am thinking about using a pair of 12" cardboard tubes for ports. very cost effective and easy. ill just put a coat or two of resin on it

Well after much discussion with my wife she has decided"yup, its all up to her" 4 187 15s would be better. the amount of space i would need for 8 12s ported seems impossible for a car. The idea hasnt been thrown out completely as i may buy a van or small truck and do a blow through. Either going to be powered by a 20.1 or AQ 2200d

IA FTW for sure, i have been calling and IMing Nick for a few years now always bugging the hell out of him and never spending more thee 250bucks and hes always been helpful. customer service is unbeatable

they are an entry level subs by IA standards but by mainstream products they far surpass their "entry" level stuff IE a RF p1 or TMA

I plan to buy either an MP3 player to hook up or a new HU very soon here is another short video showing some door flex, which is wierd cause i have 3 layers of peel and seal on the skin of my doors. the 187s didnt see to have a problem making them move

a small video of my two 187s that i finally got to get loud after a lot of trial and error. this is a bad video cause i am using a cheap camera and the lows make my cd player skip, I have a TON of sound deadening done to this car but you can still see some flex

Yes I am going to try and run 8 of those 12s off two of my aq 1200s or if i can find a 2400rms amp for under 400 bucks ill sell this cause i would rather just run a single amp

I thought 4 single 4ohm subs would have a 1ohm load? Yea im not sure how much volume i will have, my intentions where to seal the car well and put up a wall right behind my seat and utilize the rest of the vehicle as the box,but then i have no idea how to figure out my volume for port tuning

4 IA 187s and two AQ 1200's or 8 Hifonics hifi12d4 and two AQ 1200s, this will be a old car(chevy celebrity type ) and walled. this will be my daily drive

yea it was alot of trial and error, just to find out it was an hour worth of work

ohh yea for the price of these subs they are insane, i don't even know what really to compare then too. Now i am working on getting a car I can wall with 4 of these of a strapped pair of aq1200s

no i am firing the subs into the cabin and there was cancellation because of the gap around the speaker box, so i used spray foam, i found a few spots that are leaking but it made a HUGE difference
