Problem solved, left everything the way it was, adjusted some settings and sealed around the box.

so what do i need to do to accomplish that?

i plan on watching how hard i push them as i want the subs to last. I listen to alot of songs like juice box, and blue berry yum yum so i want them to sound good

Ok, I know IA has been busy so I havent been able to get in contact with them this week. So I was hoping you guys( IA owners) could help out. I am going to rebuild my enclosure this weekend for my two 187 15s. They are running off a AQ 1200d and im getting a comfortable 14.8v to the amp at about half volume. Sense I am running roughly 1200-1400rms I was thinking about making the box 4-5^3ft instead of the recommended 6.0(with only 600rms). and I was going to do anywhere from 60-80" of square port at 36hz so let me know what you think I should do,Thanks.

that is being done saturday. im going to cut the box apart piece by piece from the trunk, clean up my wiring a little and start over with the box and fire the subs/ports back or up

Ok so i think this box is too small. I was thinking about pulling them out and putting building a box for one 15. 4.0 with 60" of slot port, at 2ohm thats roughly 750-800rms of clean power to the sub(its only 300rms). I have a feeling that will do better then both of these

just so i can get this right,it would be better to run the amp above what its built to run at?

well after being wired to .7ohm and box rise it will be above 1ohm........

I wasnt sure what setting to use. That was the only setting that showed Any reading

with box rise i wont be at .5ohm and it wires down to .7ohm usually thats why i was adding all the options to the SSD to see if it was any better

Well I have an AQ 1200d, I plan on running at .5ohm but with impedance rise I should be right at if not a little bit above 1ohm. I am wanting a sub that will just get nasty loud, and move some air. Its going in a 2-3^ft3 with 80sq inch of slot port. I am either going with a fully loaded SSD or stock BL....

I think going to a good single 12 would benefit me more. I would be able to build boxes as often as need be and just drop into the trunk VS building a box into the trunk and having to cut it apart and im sure i can get a single 12 a little if not alot louder then i currently am

anyone know of a shop that can rebuild one of the Optidrive subs to d1 VC?

my last two single 12 setups were very loud, these two 15s just arent all thats cracked up to be. i put my SE in the back seat of my car yesturday at 2ohm and it was so much louder then these two 15s it pissed me off

that still didnt fix the problem, it just got a little louder

i did a swap with a lanzar 1600 and it made a huge difference,but come to find out originally i had my SSF and LPF set incorrectly. but im still not loud, the two 15s are causing major cancellation and just aren't getting loud so im going to get a single 12 build a good box with a large enough port to move some serious air. D1 at .5ohm with box impedance rise i should be a little above 1ohm

Ok,so far a lot of testing and tweaking I cannot get my 187s to sound right or get nearly as loud as two 15s should. So I am doing a swap out, I have narrowed it down to 2-3 subs. The Fi BL d1 12, the DC sound labs level 3 D1 or this is a huge "maybe" I was recommended to try the lanzar opti drive 12..........? just trying to get some feedback and if anyone has personally used/tested any of these subs going to run it off my AQ 1200d

Terry Jackson USACI judge is going to take a look at the car tuesday and see if there are any obvious things I did wrong. Perhaps he can figure it out for me or adjust the settings on my HU and amp

OK now i am really confused. I don't understand how a 1ohm load is 1ohm load?

how is a 1ohm load to the amp wired wrong?

i checked i am 1ohm at the amp

i was thinking about taking out one of the round ports and using one 6" and inverting the subs to gain back some or my internal space sense the box is only 5.44 after all displacement

they are wired to a 1ohm load, i finally got them to get nasty loud today but the clipping indicator on my bass knob was solid red and the subs smelled after about 30 seconds
