Going active this time : how to protect the tweeters ?
I have just found a French online store for speakers : OMG, they're way cheaper than madisound, and the shipping costs are low as f... I want a pair of Seas tweeters now. It's too cheap ! http://www.toutlehautparleur.com/marque-tlhp/seas-haut-parleurs.html There are so much models, I don't know which one to get. Which one would you choose ?

I would be afraid to have such powerful subs in sealed enclosures for a 4th order bandpass box. I'm tuned in ...for more !

I totally agree ! Do it like that and have fun ! I like those Subarus, nice choice, but don't kill it with a wall, please.- 2 DC Audio Level 4 15s, 6th order blowthrough
Nice work once again ! tuned in. I have never saw a pickup with a box in the bed, locally. I think people would be afraid to do it, and loose value on the truck. Car audio guys aren't too much into pickups here.- How can I check a 7500 ?
They don't have the 2150. Only 2 smaller models.- How can I check a 7500 ?

I was talking on the phone to a seller from a local shop : they work on batteries and accessories for boats. They have Optima, Vision, a few small Odyssey, and Trojan batteries. He knows there are a lot of rebadged batts, but he feels like the Trojan 31 is a good choice : they're made in the USA ! At first he wanted to sell a Group31 Optima, when I told him it was for car audio. No thanks ! I'll keep my Vision 105 for now.- How can I check a 7500 ?

I hope you'll have time to enjoy Holland....(beer, flowers, cheese, and...whatever !) Good flight.- Evil 15 power/enclosure
I would like to have a bigger amplifier on my Zcon, but I know I won't feel the difference from 2000-2400 to 3000 watts. So I will work on the car : stop rattles, lower road noise, get a better rear battery, ... That can be efficient. And there is work to do !- How can I check a 7500 ?
Good idea : I can just meet him at the battery shop. I need to make some local research : we have a lot of boats here, I know there are a few shops selling batteries. Maybe I can find some good ones. I'd rather get a new battery for sure. I'll let you know what I can find here.- How can I check a 7500 ?
Yes, there's a shop which sells all kind of batteries near me. They can test all batteries but I don't think I will be able to test the 7500 there, before buying one. The seller won't line the idea.- How can I check a 7500 ?
Visually they look brand new. I will test them with a DMM. I don't know if I will be able to do a load test. What is it ? Try to charge and see how high the voltage goes ? I don't understand. Sorry ! The deal is killer : half US price, and I'm in the French Caribbeans. It's quite impossible to have one, here. I had a killer deal on one of the 2 3400 a shop received last year ! But this one is a better deal, for a way bigger battery. It seems that this 7500 is wider than a Group 31 battery. I'll find a way ti fit it under my enclosure again. IF I make the deal. I still need to make some money for that.- Hi everyone! First Post
Welcome to THE forum !- How can I check a 7500 ?
Hello, I have a S3400 under the hood, and a Vision 105 Group31 batt in the rear, under my enclosure. I want to get rid of this Vision, anf get an XS battery instead. One of my friend is selling all his SPL equipments. He had a wall wit 2 18" subs, on 2 huge amps, with lots of batts. (No mids & high speakers in that car). I think he reached 160 dB : island record for sure. I would like to know how can I be sure that the XS 7500 I want to buy from him is good. His batteries did not played a lot, they were in his SPL car, going out only for a few comps. I'm running a 2400 w amp on my sub, and a small IA 3.4 at 8 Ohms on my mids & highs. So I guess it should be enough batts power. I wanted an XP 3000 or a D3100 but I could not find any locally. He's asking some money for them, that's why I want to know if I should make the deal. What do I have to check on the battery before pulling the trigger ?- Looking for a small voltmeter

Your enclosure looks really nice. Great design idea. I'm tuned in...- Looking for a small voltmeter
Notorious97200 replied to Notorious97200's topic in Amplifiers / Head Units / Processors / ElectricalI don't need it to be extremely accurate. I'm not launching a spaceship, I know it can help to watch " if the status quo has changed." It's how I saw I had a serious problem. I can buy any one. Ok I'll get one locally and will plug it on the battery. I'd like to find another one to run on the cig-lighter plug. Thanks.- Looking for a small voltmeter
Hi guys, I have recently been saved by a cheap voltmeter plugged into the cig-lighter 12v input. It showed me I was loosing voltage badly. I found something was burning under the hood. The plastic on the wire coming from the positive post on the battery to the alt was bad, and the cooper was touching a metal part. I took it off, and now everything is ok. The alternator works as usual. But now I want a better voltmeter. This one is 8 years old ! I want something small enough to fit anywhere. I won't cut anything in the dash to have it mounted, so I liked the cig lighter plug a lot. Which model do you run ? And second question : if it's not something to plug like a cig lighter, what are the best locations to use for an accurate reading ? Near the amp ? On the front battery ? Rear battery ? Thanks in advance for your help.- Burb build. 6- xfire 18s 6-ampere audio 3800s quad singer hair pins
- Good cheap foam to stop rattle? are these good?
If it's plastic touching another part, try to put carpet between the 2 pieces that makes noise. Each time you get rid of a certain noise, you'll find another to work on ! Until your car is quiet enough for you. Good luck.- My first SUV gets a sound system.
I'll take some soon !- My first SUV gets a sound system.
I changed the tweeters. I found a good deal on a pair of Davis Acoustics TWX DF. They sound good, I like them so far. They are titanium dome tweeters. They are so clean, and ...accurate. I don't know how to say it, but I feel they are more hifi oriented than my previous Focal set. They fit well in the stock location , on the dash. But I managed to aim them way less on the windshield. They just fit very, very tight, without any screw ! I found they were sounding better like that, rather than before (aiming at the windshield).
