In the market for new 6.5" speakers
My amp has "Full Crossover X1/X10, L/HPF, SSF": http://cdn2.bigcommerce.com/server3700/a6ac4/products/1030/images/2762/IA_34_005_SSA__92307.1378826541.1280.1280.jpg?c=2 I think I can do something with it. There is a way to bandpass speakers on it : I can bandpass the mid form 100 to 5000 (or less). I can use the HPF for the tweeters.

I want to try them straight from the amplifier, with the HPF on my head unit at 100 Hz or 80. Or use the crossover on the amplifier. Until I can aford the mini-dsp (end of the month, I hope so).

ER ordered and paid. Fedex will deliver in a few days. No money for the mini-dsp. I will order it at the end of the month.

Anybody running the new Mayhems?
The Mayhem is a straight beast ! It's one of the sub I'd like to use, in my life ! I don't think it can compare to the BL, it's not a fair comparison for the BL. I've listened to a system with 2 BL 12s on a Sundown 3000 : it sounds sooo good ! And it's loud.

A set of Seas CA18 or ER18 with the miniDSP : I'm ok for that choice. This will be my fisrt time going active. I'm afraid to blow something, hopefully I will use so little power. But.......how can I choose between the CA18 and the ER18 ? There is a small price difference, it's all I can say !

In the market for new 6.5" speakers
I did not pay attention : they're 8 Ohms speakers ! I need 4 Ohms speakers only. My amp is rated for 4 x 60 @ 4 Ohms IIRC. I was using it ibridged in 2 channels.

I will change the tweeters later. The current ones should work.

In the market for new 6.5" speakers
I will not buy a comp set. The Seas fits in my budget. Less than $250 for the pair. I will use the tweeters I already have : the Focal ones : TN52 or 51. How to choose from both Seas speakers listed, M5 ? I will get a pair with a mini-dsp. no need to eq the bass. OK.

The 2 SEAS listed, or this one : https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/scanspeak-woofers-6-7/scanspeak-revelator-18w/4531g-7-mid-woofer-4-ohm/ But I think the price is for a single speaker, so it's too expensive.

Those : https://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/seas-woofers-6-7/seas-prestige-ca18rnx-h1215-7-coated-paper-cone-woofer/ and those : http://www.madisoundspeakerstore.com/seas-woofers-6-7/seas-prestige-er18rnx-h1456-7-reed-paper-cone-woofer/ I found them in a comp set with the brand Zaph audio or something like that.

good idea, if I can find something for $150 ! That is cheap, for a pair. I don't want used speakers. I'm too far away, in case of problems. I want a dsp with more than 2 sets of rca, to use it on the bass channel too. Is it worth the higher price ?

In the market for new 6.5" speakers
I'm ok with what you said, Alton. I want opinions on those Seas, Scanspeak, and others. I don't know what and how to choose. Until I buy the mini-dsp I will use the Focal passive filters for the tweeters only. The mids will be crossed with the head unit and the amplifier crossovers. It's an Incriminator 3.4, and I already have one wire for each speaker going to the amp. budget : $250 for a pair of mids.

In the market for new 6.5" speakers
Hi guys, A tinsel lead broke on one of my mid last week. It's impossible to solder properly, to fix that. So I'm looking for a replacement. My budget is not high enough to just buy a new set like the Focal KR2 or KRX2. I was thinking about a set of JBL gti 608 but I can't find one. I will buy a mini-dsp as soon as the funds are ok, maybe for Xmas. Until then, I will use the passive filters for the Focal tweeters, and I want a set of mids (not to be used on the passive filters). Crossover at 80 or 100 Hz on my Pioneer head unit. I saw a lot of people talking about ScanSpeak speakers, like the Illuminator or the Revelators. Can that be a good choice ? I'll change my tweeters for Xmas too. I can order on madisound.com. I have absolutely no deadening on my front doors. I only have a wood ring on each mid. Deadening will come ...one day. Locally : only Focal and ...cheap speakers like Audiopipe, SP Audio, and entry level Pioneer . So there is nothing I can listen to, and make my choice. I'm more looking into good sound, than loud. I loved those 165 KP Focal mids. I'm so sad now ! Help me please !!!

Just a quick question or two
That looks small for 2 15" Xcons. I had just one in a 3 ft3 sealed box for some times, and it was nice ! In your case I would have gone ported with one sub and sold the second sub ! To each is own : if you like it like that, keep it like that and enjoy your system !

A "new" Fi dealer in Guadeloupe ?
You can be a dealer and get better pricing on the subs, but he can,t sell them cheaper then Fi would or they would take away his subs. Or take legal action against him. You would have to check with Fi to be sure. He doesn't sell them cheaper. In fact, he must have great deals on shipping, because the final price he can offer is cheaper than what we could get from Fedex or UPS. I don't know the delay he has. But both of my ca audio friends bought what he had in stock : they bought 2 sp4's and 2 Teams in 18" ! They are very happy ! I hope they'll put them in the right enclosures this time !!!

How to tell if is a sub is good or bad without an enclosure?
180 for a used 12" L7 ? That's a lot of money. I'd buy something new with that budget : take a look at the SSA subs, or at Sundown, Soundqubed, Incriminator,...etc
