MDF or birch
Winner winner chicken dinner . IF you hear a difference, somebody did a half ass job It seemed like maybe they didn't apply enough deadening/damping material, sounded a little like when i kick the side of my bathtub. That sounds like the problem I don't really use a lot of deadener on glass enclosures. Usually only takes a layer or so. If you take the time to lay some rope in between a couple layers it goes a long way

MDF or birch
The good stuff is biased 90 degrees with each layer. There is a lot of crap out there right now that is simply thrown together and heat pressed with no regard for bias. Messed up part is the stuff is still more expensive.

fiberglass enclosure ?
I know how it could be done, it would be a pain in the ass, and an even bigger pain in the ass when it came time to remove it. If it sounds good now, why change it ?

saw that a while back. Still not sure which is worse the home made fiberboard or the guy at diy making that BMW "show car" with the resined up trunk carpet

MDF or birch
Either or. Birch offers some weight reduction over mdf. But the weight reduction comes at a price. Good birch ply is more expensive than mdf.

pics of my kicks!!!
disclaimerIt is very dangerous, and I would not recommend my method to anyone.disclaimer I have been doing it like that for years when there is no router table around. Doesn't really make me nervous, as much as aware. Particularly aware of the hunk of sharp metal spinning 30k rpm

i'm with you. he made my kicks about a month ago, and blood was everywhere lol he is dangerous, but his creations are the $hit PANZIES Hey now, that was the wood that pinched me on the other side of a 5" circle opposite the side with the blade. A piece of paper towel, a little electrical tape, 30 seconds later back in business. And I didn't even charge you extra for the blood stains lol. I keep the blade in mind at all times. I like my short fat fingers, all ten of them

Custom Fabrication
Figure for a pair of kicks $10 mat $30 gallon of resin ( won't need but a little over a quart for a normal size set of kicks. But it's cheaper to buy in bulk ) $20 for two quarts of filler ( one reinforced ) $5 sandpaper $5 for tape $5 for gloves and brushes $2 for plastic tarp and some scrap mdf for a pair of baffles

Custom Fabrication
Sounds good to me accept for the laminating. I have gotten into the habit of using either duct tape or painters tape. I lay on a couple layers of tape so the resin doesn't soak through, then use a plastic drop cloth to cover the rest of the floorboard and seat. Then wet out the mat in strips and just apply it to the tape. If you dab the resin on the mat until the mat itself is transparent. ( which you should always do transparent = good saturation) It will stick to the tape well on the vertical surface. Lay up a layer worth of strips one direction, then lay another layer of strips 90 degrees on the bias. THen one more on the 90 bias for good measures. I do all thre layers at once. You get a really strong light weight floor mold. Once the mat has cured and is dry to the touch, pull the mold and remove the tape. If your worried about warpage, you can always put the plastic droploth on the back of the mold and put the mold back into the car to fully cure. But there are several different ways to go about building kicks in a vehicle though. It depends mainly on the vehicle and the kick area in question

Come to think of it, a musky fights very similar to a barracuda. WOT from the get go.....a lot of swipe and run hits......several feet out of the water..........there is no reeling IN until the fish decides it's time

If you consider 15lbs a bull then yes. Nothing over 20 One of my favorite fish to go after, maybe my favorite in particular after catching 12 over 15lbs in a single day. Not nearly as exciting per fish, but the beauty of reds is that you can catch a lot of them in one day. With Muskies you fish for one or two bites all day, but when it comes get ready to have your heart race like it has never before. Musky fight harder to me, and I use almost the same tackle for damn near everything Reds are on the scale right next to snook and striper. Those three fight the same to me. A musky seems to fight so damn hard because of their damn near perfect hydrodynamic shape. They slip through the water so effortlessly and quick with just the slightest twitch.

Welcome to the IHoP
A man died and went to Heaven. As he stood in front of the Pearly Gates, he saw a huge wall of clocks behind him. He asked, "What are all those clocks?" St. Peter answered, "Those are Lie-Clocks. Everyone on earth has a Lie-Clock. Every time you lie, the hands on your clock move." "Oh," said the man. Whose clock is that?" "That's Mother Teresa's," replied St. Peter. "The hands have never moved, indicating that she never told a lie." "Incredible," said the man. "And whose clock is that one?" St. Peter responded, "That's Abraham Lincoln's clock. The hands have moved twice, telling us that Abraham told only two lies in his entire life." "Where's Hillary's clock?" asked the man. "Hillary's clock is in Jesus' office. He's using it as a ceiling fan."

Welcome to the IHoP
Me too Although mine will be short as I cannot catch bass until Saturday. I suppose I will throw for some pike though as at this time of the year they are rather fun. The main lake is up to 59 degrees, normally bass opener is after spawn...obviously not this year although there are bays where it will be warmer. Glad we don't have seasons. Of course I could deal with a catch and release only season like they are proposing here. Wouldn't bother me in the least. Water was 62 degrees last Friday. Smallies were just finishing spawning and are starting to go into "Dinner time" mode Saw lots of empty beds, and a couple with females still lingering. I tore them up with a suspending minnow all day long without going near the beds. Gonna try some top water sight fishing this afternoon hoping they are in full swing
