  1. almost embarrassed to ask about this brand here, but what do you guys think of the Power Acoustik OVN1-5500D gothic series and the Power Acoustik BAMF-5500/1D amps? the reviews on sonix electronix sound good..
  2. can you guys suggest a decent 3000 watt amp for $500 max? or is that wishful thinking?
  3. my goal is a daily driver, will never compete..but i want to get the most potential out of them and i feel giving them only half there rated power is almost a waste, do you guys think my idea of using 2 seperate amps to power the 3 is not a good idea?
  4. heres my problem, i already have my amps in hand, in question is the mono subwoofer amp which is a hifinoics brutus BRZ2400.1D RMS Power @ 1 ohm 2400 watts x 1 channel i also already ordered my subs which are 3 fi q series 18's, someone brought up to me that with ohm rise i really will only see around 500 watts per sub, and to me thats a waste when thats only half there rated power..so i have 2 options to go from here, by another fi q and end up with 4 18's and buy another brz 2400 watt amp which would really put a strain on me budget wise, or stay with the 3 18's and use the brz 2400 watt amp on 2 of the fi q series and buy a Hifonics Brutus BRZ1200.1D for only $209 and hook that up to the single 18, how does that sound? i mean id love to go with 4 18''s but i just cant swing it at the moment..so really my only choice is to buy another amp and have 3 amps in my system a 4 chnl, and the 2 mono amps a brz 2400 for 2 of the Q's and a brz 1200 for the other Q..please let me know how this sounds..also in order to pull this off i know the single sub would have to be 2ohm dvc and the other 2 subs would have to be 1ohm dvc for both to get the 1 ohm load i want to see from the amp
  5. do you prefer i contact you threw your yahoo email or pm's on here?
  6. after doing some thinking and seeing the big difference in enclosure from 15's to 18's i decided id rather go with 15's so i sent FI a email to change the subs from 18's to 15's...so now i have a different set of questons..they suggest from 28-33 hz for tuning..for my neededs of a daily driver listening to rap and rock what would you guys suggest? also for box size they suggest 2.8-4 per sub..i have 800 watts im going to throw at each one..so for my music needs and power available what would you guys suggest?
  7. well i said 28 hz, cause thats what fi suggests, but im open to opinions..im not one of these guys that thinks he knows everything and everything that comes out of my mouth is final..lol i honestly know nothing when it comes to enclosures and i do need help..especially being my first ported setup..i measured my space in my truck and this is basically what i have to work with w=48'' d=44'' h=26'' but i can go 4 inches higher and kick it up to 30'' IF absolutely needed these are my maximum specs i can go, do you guys think i should sent FI a email and change my order to 15's? ive always wanted 18's but if it means i dont have the space for them to properly operate i dont want to sacrifice quality of sound and performance just to say i have 18's...please let me know..thank you
  8. yes i have room for that much space, im thinking 48x40x26 somewhere in that range, going in a yukon denali, the amp i will be using is a Hifonics Brutus BRZ2400.1D http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_23550_Hifonics-Brutus-BRZ2400.1D.html
  9. any suggestions?
  10. i wish i was man, luckily you dont need to be tech savy to find porn..lmao
  11. im not tech savy at all, but thanx for the suggestion i will try that..
  12. all my life i have been a sealed guy, i just love the sound of a sealed setup and how low and deep they can play, so i got talked into going ported for my next system..im going with 3 18'' fi Q series, fi suggest 6-10 cu ft per sub, im thinking of going in the middle with 8 per sub, im also going to throw 800 watts at each one, what do you guys think about this? i will be using this for daily driver and i listen to both rap and rock music..so im hoping the subs can keep up with the fast beats..also 28hz sound good to you guys?
  13. i know this answer has many different variables depending on how long the song is, but im trying to figure out how many songs say a 10gb sd card would hold? i currently have around 2500 songs i need to throw on a card and am thinking of going with a 32gb card..any opinions?
  14. yes the headunit plays cd's with songs in wma format but it also accepts sd cards, would i be wise to go with a sdhc version or is a regular sd card fine? i know when using for pictures the hc is better but would the music sound more clear with the hc type card over the regular sd card? http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_34070_Pioneer-AVH-P4300DVD-AVIC-U220-Navigation-Package.html
  15. my head unit has a option where i can download songs onto a sandisk card and insert the card into the head unit, my question is do sandisk cards work with songs in wma format? or only mp3 format?
  16. i tryed frostwire, im my opinion it sucked, it showed very few song selections and the rest were all spam, i tried bearshare, the selection is amazing, but most of the songs are all in wma format, and i need mp3 only to transfer to itunes..so what is another good program to use please?
  17. download speed 2.46 mbps upload speed 0.42 mbps
  18. i tryed updating firefox, then went with google chrome, and my flash player was current, and still very slow, even this forum is extremely slow..any other suggestions please?
  19. my original hard drive was damaged, so i had a reputable guy whos done work for me in the past look into it, and he installed a new hard drive 32 bit system and the operating system is windows 7, but even thought the hard drive is new when i watch vids on you tube, they load very slow and buffer forever, they will play for 2-3 seconds then stop for about 10-30 seconds and again only play for a few seconds, with my old wore out hard drive i never had this problem, so im wondering if theres a setting i need to adjust or whats the deal?
  20. i downloaded the audacity and the lame plug in, seems complicated...maybe because im not very computer savy, but can you guys give me some tips on how to use this program?
  21. was this a rick ross type prank program? only a black blank box comes up..can i get some real help
  22. can you guys suggest some good programs to convert my wma music files to mp3's? im trying to load some songs into itunes and itunes only will import over my mp3 songs not the wma files..ive seen some programs that charge around $60 a year id rather use one for free since im only going to use it once..but im willing to use a fee based one if it really works well..
  23. ok, so how much is the total fr the box and shipping for the box at 24'' height? that is if i even need to go that high
  24. sorry for the delay in my reply, i was waiting for FI to tell me if it was too late to change the option, they just got back to me yesterday...ok so i will go with ported, for height i can go up to 24''
  25. i just sent FI email to see if they can change the high QTS option for sealed set ups, if they still have time i will go ported, id like the outside of the box to match my interior which is gray, i dont need it to look anything fancy..no shows or competitions in her future, just daily use..i can go a few more inches in height not a problem..the terminals i will leave up to you where you think they will best suited..i will be using only 2 amps a mono and a 4 channel, i hope i have given you enough info, if not please let me know and i will do my best, also i know with ported i will need more then just 6 cu ft per sub, they suggest 6-10 per sub, im thinking maybe 8 per sub? thank you
