Holy crap you got double clutching right If anyone needs to know why it would be used in performance driving, watch the chase scene in Bullitt, McQueen 2x shifts a lot near the end. Speed shifting is shifting without using the clutch, often times you'll still have the petal mashed so it's very similar to power shifting.

Granny shifting. Speed shifting. double clutching (I know what it is but 90% of "car guys" get it wrong ) Power shifting. In 4x4, "Granny gear" is often used.
