  1. Sorry looked at wrong amp. after the distro u run 0 to the AQ and 4 to the kicker than there grounds to the other distro than 0 to the body. Want u run from the battery has to be ur ground. and since ur using to different gauges u need that other distro.
  2. That kit would be perfect just get the dual amp kit. The kit doesnt included the ground block or the rca's, u will have to purchase them seperately. U have the right block listed. RCA's are up to u. whats great about those blocks is u have all different size compression fittings in a bag for all the different size wires. U run 0 from the battery through the inline fuse holder than to the distro block that has the fuses. From there u will have two runs of 4 gauge to the AQ and the Kicker. Then u will have the 4 gauge ground wires from each amp to the other distro block than a single run of 0 to the body of the vehicle.
  3. the sub u have listed wont work the way you want it too. A dual 4 ohm subs final ohm load to an amp can only be a 2 ohm by running the coils in parallel and 8 ohms by running the coils in series. but if u run each coil to each channel it would work but it would only be 200 watts to each sub. so if thats the amp u want to use u would need 2 single voice coils at 4 ohms or 2 dual voice coils and 2 ohms. Also yes 500 watts with 20ins of cone would be loud. from what i know there isnt any ratio between the sub and front, but i could be wrong..
  4. also to keep the cost down u could always do used and get way better stuff. Like i know the guys over on DIY have some really good stuff for decent prices and u come across stuff new in box aswell
  5. Yes u can but on the amp u need to know what ohm it would be bridged at. once u know that then u could get the sub that would match the impedance.
  6. For a subwoofer i would go Fi cause I have a SSD 12 with copper coils a feeding it about 1000 watts in a sealed box and it sounds awesome. or u could go here and get a free box with the purchase of one or more of the subs he has to offer... audibel customs
  7. are u using the factory headunit or an aftermarket one? Also what is the brand and model? Here are a few sites to look at.... Sonic Electronics Woofers etc. Knu Konceptz Audioque Elemental designs Parts Express FI
  8. First we need to know what size speakers are in your door also do u have a factory tweeter location?? For the sub we need to know if u are going ported or sealed and how much space u have to work with?? I would recommend sealed if u build the box youself. As for rearfill i personally dont like but that is my opinion.. Also are u going to be running a stock electrical system?? Also what is your total budget??
  9. Hi guys i hope u can answer a question for me. Is there any way to test an amps rms rating other than a bench?? Possibly having it installed in my truck?? Thanks in advanced
  10. Answer these questions and then i can help u more.. INFINITY'S --- What impedance 6x9's --- What impedance 5 1/4's --- What impedance INFINITY'S --- single or double voice coil 6x9's --- single or double voice coil 5 1/4's --- single or double voice coil Also how many total speakers are u trying to use??

Jus sent a email ask if he is taking preorders. Im hoping he is so im guaranteed one!!!!
  12. i didnt notice it at first either but when i re watched it i stuck out like a sore thumb.
  13. First off I would ditch the cap they are more harmful than useful. second if u would upgrade to 1/0 from ur battery to a distrubiton block and then run ur 4 gauge to the amps. also if u have a dmm u can check what the voltage that is going to the amps to see if there is need for a new battery also doing the big three is helpful as well
  14. when using a dmm to set ur gains aren't u supposed to have it set Voltage AC instead of were u have it set as Amps AC?? Cause i see in ur video u have the multimeter set 200M which is on the AAC side. If im wrong please correct me??
  15. Thanks Guys u answered my question
  16. What line in the IA arsenal would have the best SQ?? Aslo how would it compare to a FI Q??
  17. This is a great deal Im excited but one question i have is what does the subs cost are they the same as they are on SSA Site???
  18. sqjeep replied to sqjeep's topic in Fi Technical
Ok that makes sense. how much difference is there between the q and the ssd?

What SQ setup? So far all you have described is the sub which if the rest is done well isn't even really hardly necessary at all in an SQ setup. :bigclap: I have the fi ssd powered by an audioque 1200d the in the front i have ES-620Z - CDT Audio EuroSport 6.5" 2-Way Component Speakers power right now by a rockford 360.2. The amp on the doors is going to be changed but waiting on zed's new line to be released and maybe even the sub amp. Not nearly enough midbass to compete with the SSD. I'd address the front stage if you want to "keep inline with your SQ setup" They keep up with the ssd pretty well and im only giving them a hundred watts and the doors move alot of air and move ur pant legs. what would u recommended from my front stage?? How do you know that you won't reach full excursion with only 600 watts? When running the sub in winisd in a sealed i give it 950watts and keep it under the x max and in a ported i can give 1300 watts and jus be under the xmax. Unless winisd isnt that good. but from what i hear that it is a good program that u can trust.

can i safely give this sub 1000 watts rms in a sealed and in a ported enclosure? from my understanding is that as long as i dont exceed the xmax and give the sub a non clipped signal i can give it more than its rated?? is this true???
  21. sqjeep replied to sqjeep's topic in Fi Technical
Thanks im running the numbers through winisd to build a ported.

I try the polyfill and see how that sounds. Also how much power can i safely give the sub right now it getting about 870watts? Also dbjunior i see u have a Q ported did u ever have it sealed and if so which did u like better?

Im willing to go bigger. ill jus have to relocate placement of the box then. if i wouldnt port the box how could i get the bass to sound deeper and be louder?
