  1. With that amp u would wire each coil to each channel with that the sub only seeing about 200watts
  2. Hifonics BXI 2610D this amp would do great for your setup it is at woofer etc it puts out 1500 watts at 4ohm but that is rated at 14.4. Depending on your electrical you probably wont see the full 1500 watts and YOU HAVE TO USE YOUR GAINS WISELY. having more power and use your gains wisely, u are only using the cleanest part of the signal which results in decent sound quality.
  3. so you are looking for an amp to power that subwoofer correct??
  4. tell us about your setup and we can recommend an amp for you cause that amp at best buy is 210. You can get the same amp at woofers etc for 130. Also what is your budget??
  5. what do you want to know about it??
  6. Did U keep hitting the source button to the sources start to repeat it self??? If it is still not there take a pen and hit the little reset button on the headunit. Once you have done this keep pressing the source button to see if it come up now.
  7. This is only my opinion. Nothing has been released as of yet, but in knowing that zed is all about pure clean power and that most of the amps that zed produced are not active capable, im going to say that his new line is not going to have it either. Cause an amp is made to do one thing and that is to amplifiy a signal. Having everything processed before the amp allows the amp to only amplify what you want amplified. Cleaner power.
  8. Try this ... Turn your headunit to multi cd and see if it plays. Since the headunit doesnt have direct control over the ipod you would have to switch everything using the ipod. If this doesnt work does your headunit have extra aux inputs???
  9. There should be no difference cause it is still getting processed before the amplifier. The only big differnce i see is that if it was in the headunit it would be right at your finder tips with a seperate piece u might have to go where it is installed to change the points.
  10. yes u can buy the speakers and amp now but the amp would have to be a 4 channel amp cause of running active. U wouldnt need an active crossover cause an active headunit would have that in it for ex an alpine 9887. on a side note u could run active with that headunit but u would have to find a 4 channel amp that has active capabilites.
  11. a good pair of components would be the Alpine SPX-17PRO. they cost about $340
  12. I dont think the that headunit is active so u would be better off jus running passive for now till u get another headunit that is active
  13. Ok first u have to Hold the Search button to enter the function menu then start spinning the aud (volume) knob to u see the setting for demo mode once that is seen on the screen then u press and hold the aud knob, thus switching it on and off.
  14. What make and model is the car ?? ^^^^Tirefryr beat me too it^^^^^
  15. If you set your amps with a 0 db tone your amp will never clip, and due to the way music is recorded you will never reach peak output. At a -5db tone will give you about 4.5 db more output than the 0 db, and this will keep clipping below .03% of recorded music. Very minimal clipping, not to many people can hear this. At a -10 db tone will give you about 9 db more output, and this keeps clipping below .3% of recorded music. Again the clipping is minimal, and again most people cant hear this. Hope this helps.
  16. yep jus buy two of those and your set to go Im glad to help
  17. what u could do is run a single rca for the headunit and use a y spitter on the posite side and on the negitive side giving u two sets of rcas
  18. on the kicker u use one of the left + or the left - and use the opposite polarity on the right side. on both amp one and amp two. thusly powering two speakers. U would need to use both rca inputs

Its a brand new site and i need of members. But the way the site owner made it is not the way many fourms are done. What he did is u cant see the site to u actually join, but once u are signed up u still have to wait till he approves you. which is wierd I know. I think that the approving the member thing is what is hurting the site though. The link is good though

  21. What are u looking to spend on an amp??
  22. also 12 ohms but all these impedances arent not good for many amps. so i would wire two together on one amp and wire the other sub to another amp, or evn go buy another sub and have two subs one each amp
  23. it would be the impedance the amplifier would see. So i your case it would be 1 ohm
  24. I would either get an SSA icon or the FI Q both great subs and with these u can get loud and also stay on the SQ side. For The Fi all u need is 1.2 cuft of space which is the same saize as the 12 sealed
