  1. yeah the deck can do 2-way active plus subwoofer like the 800prs
  2. thats what he should have been going with in the 1st place
  3. I'm not sure I completely understand the question since not many details were given. I'm going to assume this is for a 3-way frontstage (midbass, midrange, tweeter). You could use the "mid" output on the HU, which is generally bandpassable, to highpass the midbass and lowpass the midrange. Then use the xover built into the amp to lowpass the midbass and highpass the midrange. Or a better solution would be to use the "mid" output on the HU to bandpass the midbass, and use the highpass output on the HU to highpass the midrange. Then use the amplifier's xover to lowpass the midrange and highpass the tweeter. The reason I say this would probably be better is because then you would have the ability to time align the midbass and midrange independently of each other, which would be beneficial since those two drivers are generally not directly next to each other where they would need identical time alignment applied to both drivers. The midrange and tweeter would then be time aligned together on the same channel, but that's a positive as well since (depending on their location) this could avoid phase issues near the crossover frequency (compared to if they weren't time aligned the same), and the imaging won't really be affected since tweeters well within the IID range. my bad i should have said how do i bandpass a midbass while doing a 2-way active setup.
  4. how would you run bandpass on a pair of midbasses with a 3way deck with a amp that can go active as well?
  5. Gotta be more specific What your willing to spend? What have you done to your electrical? Are just trying to sound nice or get extra loud? What kind of deck do you have? Do you even have any sound deadening?
  6. lol ah yes. Marketing at its finest. It can already do a swell 2-way active in stock form. It gets even better if you can find a PXA-H701 to couple with it. yeah i seen that PXA-H701 module but its way outta my price range. $399.99 and up on ebay
  7. Man sounds like you got a pocket full of burning money. Save it for a rainy day you never know what will happen in the future. But if you really wanna buy something buy something little that will make a big difference.
  8. I learned my lesson having a shop install my stuff never again. theres enough information and tutorial videos on the internet for you to install your system yourself. I say your best bet is to look for a forum thats specifically about your car. Thats what i did for my RSX, i was able to find pictures and all kinds of information of what did or didnt fit in my car. Plus you'll feel real good knowing you installed all your stuff yourself.

  10. the imprint software that alpine makes it seem like you "need" to use in order to get the most outta the 9887
  11. ive been looking at alot of websites and alot people say with the tuning software that the 9887 takes away their midbass and subwoofer output like crazy. Anybody else use the 9887? Seems like 800prs is universally praised and extrememly hard to find without paying $500 Maybe if you let it run in the noob (automatic) mode. Not in Pro mode. wait so your telling me you can run active on the 9887 without having to use the software? i definantly didnt get that impression with all the reviews ive been reading and peoples experiences

  13. its crazy hard to find a good price on any of those decks unless i go used. seems like all those decks are rare are something cause their going for $500 and up brand new
  14. Ive decided i wanted to go 2-way active with my new system im buying. Problem is I dont know which is better or more cost efficient. The decks ive been looking at are : pioneer prs 800, kenwood x991, clarion drz9255, Eclipse CD7200mkii and as far as active crossovers i dont know who to look at besides audiocontrol but i figure if im gonna pay almost $400 might as well buy a new deck. What would any of yall recommend?
  15. Deadener is NOT the way to fix rattles. Foam is. First you need to find what is rattling. Liquid damper is rather stupid in general, scientific tests will prove that all day long. ok so ill get some of that ccf and then glue it to my plastic door panel and i should be straight. Yes and that is what I said in the beginning. No? my bad i didnt know they were the same product just named 2 different things well where's a good place to purschase them?

  17. wish i had the honor to see how zed audio makes their amps in person
  18. Ok my problem is pretty soon ill be buying some 8 inch midbasses. Even with my 6.5 speakers i still get rattle from the door panels even though i used some deadener on the inside and outside of the metal door frame. No i do not have any of the holes sealed in the door.
  19. that stuff looks kinda light. how much you think is needed for some door panels since its bought by the yard?
  20. Has anybody tried putting anytype of liquid deadener on the inside of their plastic door panels? Ive been looking at edead v5 ctherm and second skin spectrum/sludge and was wondering if anybody had any good results without having to put any type of sound deadening tiles before hand.
  21. wow what a steal. wish i had that kind of luck
  22. sounds good man wonder what the output is on that monoblock at 2 ohms
  23. Damn niggas is disrespectful... Wish i could been there to hear yalls systems though man.
