I don't see why you need to know how far the cone can travel, when you know it will be distorting and your customers will turn tail and not purchase your business if they hear that.. It's not just money that changes how loud you can get. People can do amazing things with the equipment they have, it's really going to depend on the install, their overall goals and how extreme they want to get with their car.

i got my refurb. SAZ-1500 from him a year and a half ago, no problems at all, great service. There was one time when i thought i blew the amp or something (while it was under warranty) so i sent it to him. Turned out everything was working top notch on the amp and it was another mistake in my car that caused it to not work for me. He still replaced the main components of the amp and tested it all free of charge. I just paid shipping and it's been kickin' hard since! I wouldn't hesitate to buy from him again.

Ascendant Audio Carbon Fiber Mids Hey there. I figured I would make this thread to clear some info up, since these questions seem to come up a lot about these. I received mine in the mail today and started to take pictures and measure right away. If you want to know anything else that I don't state about them, let me know and I will do my best to answer them. 1.) What size are they? The outer diameter of the whole driver is JUST under 7", but that may be my tape measure. The mounting ring is 1/2" wide, which leaves 6" for cone+surround. Surround is another ~1/2" so the cone is ~5" from the inside of the surround to the other side. 2.) What's the mounting depth? From the bottom of the magnet to the top of the frame it is JUST under 3.5". The mounting plate is ~3/16". 3.) What is the voice coil resistance? The carbon fiber mids are rated at 4 ohm, each. I don't know if it's just my meter or what but when I measured this they were down to about 2 - 2.5 ohm. I think it was coincidence I happened to take the picture right at 3.9 ohm. 4.) What's a good frequency range? That's going to depend on install a bit, but I see them run around 60-2500 (ish) mostly, so that's where ill start my setting at. We will see when I get them installed. 5.) How much do these run? You need to contact a dealer to get some of these, or even a price quote. You can go HERE to contact them and find a dealer. I bought mine from SSA user BKOLF04. You can also pm him and he can tell you if there is a closer dealer to you or not. Let me know what else you want to be measured or what not. x2 It's a business, not a charity group. There being nice as is. That's why i was clearing up the fee question, i would be more than willing to pay to have them cut to desired specs

would we be able to get them cut to desired specs? or would that add a fee to them?
