  1. yes im willing to lose the spare but i might have to fiberglass the bottom because it have a hump right in the middle of the trunk, if four 12's can fit im pretty sure three 15's can fit back there the amps will hopefully be on a amp rack and the batteries will be on each side. but the only thing that i really been thinking about is will it be better to go three sealed 15's with about 1200-1500 watts on each or two ported 15's with 2300-2700 watts. Which will give me a better output?
  2. i was thinking three 15's in a wedge enclosure
  3. what would you do with trunk space like this?
  4. You shouldn't shoot angels, messing with a higher power can't be good. holly chit.. that is so fudgeing funny. your the man sean. i realized i made a typo lol! but seriously i never heard a good sounding ported box thats why i been leaning towards sealed enclosures for so long
  5. i had an idea similar to these enclosures for my next project and i was wondering is there any downside to having one built like this?
  6. will the position of the subs have an effect on how they play? i was leaning more to a multiple sealed setup in a fiberglass box with the subs firing at different angels
  7. sorry about that i should have said that first...but can the BL's play in a sealed box?
  8. my thing is i dont want a complete spl setup i want a system thats going to play music and have that deep deep bass
  9. that look like a 94-96 impala i know they have a huge trunk the one im about to buy is older...google 1985-1990 impala/caprice to see what im talking about
  10. i would say the only reason i said JL in this setup is because of the small space the subs require a guy on caraudio forum said all i will be able to fit is two ported 12 properly
  11. i never heard of those...what company makes them?
  12. no i wish...i can get a good deal for the front stage
  13. well my goals if to have something thats not a one note wonder more like a SQ or LOUD SOUND QUALITY setup and as for budget wise i really didnt think of one because i want to take my time and have everything done right but i would say 4k off the top of my head for subs and amps....this is what i wrote on another forum also..... [i had the thought of jl because the dont require large amounts of space and i probably will be able to go with 4 13w6's in a fiberglassed box...i will not be able to go straight across be cause the trunk start to slant close to the back i think its like 14 inches high back there if im not mistaken i will post a pic of a similar idea if i can find one. any downsides to an enclosure like this? ]
  14. whats up everybody im thinking about buying a 1990 impala to play around with and i was told that i would only have room for four 12' or two 15's. i really dont have a set budget yet but i dont want to pay a fortune for the subs and amp(s) any suggestions? heres a picture of what i will have to work with
